I'm starting to really deal with more aches and pains and it is really getting me down. If I'm not dealing with one thing is another.

Today was a busy day. I went and did my volunteer thing at the day-care center reading. Then I went to Curves to workout. Worked out longer than usual and really felt better physically and emotionally--I mean much better. I mean it really made a difference.

I then did some grocery shopping and now at home ALL the good endorphins from the exercise is gone--I mean they left me l 1/2 to 2 hours later????? What in the heck is going on. I'm left with this real achy neck and shoulders and it comes with this exhausted feeling-- and I can't tell if the exercise is causing it or if it is stress in my neck and shoulders.....sorry, I'm whining bad--but it's frustrating.

I have disc problems in my neck and back. They are pretty much under control, but when I start exercising--I tend to have problems......at don't know--I've been working out two to three times a week now for almost three weeks-why now the really agonizing day-YES, FOLKS--IT'S THE HORMONES!!!!

Hi, I\'m glad you stuck to your guns and did the workout. Maybe you might want to soak in a hot tub afterwards? Or get a heating pad? Pamper yourself!! I hope the aches and pains go away..and don\'t worry about whining...I was actually thinking of that name for a screen name here!! \"Whiner\" lol

I have aches and pains but I pretty much know what is causing them. They get worse when I start to exercise or increase the length/intesity of my workouts (Hah! Not a workout -- just a walk with the dogs!) In my case it\'s fibromyalgia and I pretty much know what I need to do to handle it. If your pain persists or you sleep but don\'t feel rested when you wake up (hot flashes aside!) then it might be worth having your GP check some things out for you. Otherwise, do what I say and not what I do: start slow and increase slow and don\'t burn up the equipment just because you feel great on a particular day! Oh, btw, the endorphins thing: I definitely notice a decrease in pain (and anxiety and depression) from exercise, but I wouldn\'t say the \"high\" lasts all day. Usually a few hours later I have to stretch and do some relaxation.
