Last night I really didn't feel good-had some mild anxiety and depression and I was kinda afraid of what today was going to be like--I really was getting alittle panicky. I'm afraid of going in that depression hole. I really haven't been there like I was, but know the hormonal ups and downs can throw me a curve ball anytime. And it is so hard to deal with the depression/ anxiety when it just hits you from nowhere after feeling well.... We had done a fair amount of running around over the weekend and I think I was just tired out. I need nine hours of sleep, even if it's broken.

It's frustrating about my energy levels and how I have to have limits on what I can do. It's frustrating because I've always dealt with this lack of energy and doctors have had all different opinions as to what the cause it. At this point, it's mitral valve prolapse, peri-menopause, nutritional problems, and lack of exercise--those are all different medical docs or alternative medical docs putting in their two cents. Of course, the other medical docs from the past had all other diagnoses.

On the other hand, I am thankful that I am feeling better.... That this plan of eating frequently to watch my low blood sugar is helping. I am trying to put the exercise in place now. I am pretty confident that I can do that. It's ridiculous that this old dog (50) would have to learn new tricks! Why didn't I do the exercise thing earlier???? anyway, even with doing these new healthy habits, I think it's important for me to realize that even if I do everything I'm supposed to do, I might not ever feel like I'd like to physically. All my siblings struggle with different health issues--there's just something not quite right about us!!!! Really, we think there is an issue that we just can't totally pinpoint--possibly in the endocrine system.

I also need to pay major attention to my thoughts. I suspect that my thinking causes me stress and in turn drains my energy...anyway, I'm rambling, hope this finds everyone well! Take care

I agree..your energy can be drained by the anxiety...but it\'s so hard to get rid of the anxiety/panic/depression when it\'s been with you for so long. It\'s not like you can just tell yourself to forget about it. I am claustrophobic and my gyn told me I needed to get over that! (because I can\'t wear my cpap machine) WTF? O.k., so now that she TOLD me to do it, I will. It\'s so amazing how someone with a degree in medicine can think you can erase a REAL phobia JUST LIKE THAT!! Grrr...
My lawyer, of all people, told me that my phobia IS REAL and that she\'s never had to experience something like that, so I have to excuse her for her ignorance! LOL
I\'m rambling too...lol, but just wanted to let you know you are not alone..and I\'m here for you if you want to talk about it more.
Love Jenn

I have fibromyalgia, my sister has it and my mother did too. Plus there\'s thryoid issues and diabetes in my family tree. I think there is something to genetic predispositions to things. On the other hand, I know if I eat right, sleep regular hours and exercise I am my \"old self\" with just a few bad days here and there -- and, here\'s the kicker, I\'ve even DONE those things at different times during the course of this illness. So why do I suddenly get lazy? I dunno -- but I\'m back out walking again and watching what I eat and getting to bed at a regular time. I hope it lasts for the rest of my life, but I know I can only do it one day at a time.

Thank you for your nice comments on my journal -- you help me so much and I really appreciate it.

You may have over done it, if you had a busy weekend and not use to being over exhaused. You need to take it easy for the week, you said
that you need approximately 8-9hrs. of sleep, Wow. I wouldn\'t know how to act. I\'m so scheduled until I\'m so scheduled. Up around 5-6 , breakfast and out the door into my routine, I just can\'t help it, I\'ve done this for over 30yrs. when I was working. House work up to par, everything in it\'s place, do my gardening, cooking dinner at noon, and getting lunch, very seldom eat out, I Love to cook. Dinner on the table
at 3-5. Do a little quilting, sewing ect., working with some fabric ect.,Eating properly is your best key. Never had any problem with the
M/P thing, I just fine. But, I do drink Green Tea, my weight is where I
was when I Grad/High Sch.,college, but I had to work on it all the time,
Yes, it\'s a job for us women day after day. Most of all I\'m blessed in
the Lord....Reading his word....Active in Church...Community, Family and
Grandchildren, That\'s a blessing. You\'re fine that why they call it the
change, You don\'t let it change you , You change it. I take a Tsp. of Mineral oil each night before I got to bed, I\'ve done this every since I was at least in my 20\'s, Why, because my Grandmother said too, so did
my Mom and they said that when I got ready to go through the change, I would be just fine, so I figured that I would, and you know something, they were just right......Smile. I go to the Doctor once a year, Thank you Jesus for my regual C/ups and that\'s it, Praise the Lord......
