Moving forward

It's already MAY! Wow time is flying this year, huh? Geez, gotta catch my breath and catch up.
The house is pretty empty now. Not much left around. New Samoans moved in next door around Jan and I think about 15 of them live there now. They are sec 8 folks. They're pretty much neighbors from hell. They play music all day and night and have about 10 visitors come through, don't matter the time. They sit out in the back yard with gatherings, with their music, singing, laughing loudly till 2 AM, and they like to look into our windows and watch us. They are so creepy. They have a bunch of young kids that scream the F word at people. Funny because the parents don't really speak English! Oh but that word they know. They have a puppy that cries, barks, and yelps all hours of the day and night waking us up. I can't sleep anymore. Every night I am awake or repeatedly startled out of my sleep. I feel like a zombie. My pain goes up and down depending on how bad my sleep was that night.
Homeless people have moved into the vacant land behind our complex (right behind our row of houses) and they watch us all day and night. They have been breaking into our homes daily. They have tried to break into our house repeatedly. Our next door neighbor (the nice ones) came to the door the other day and there were 3 men with pick axes at their door ready for whatever they were going to do. They called the cops but the cops couldn't find them.
My neighborhood is a scary place now, it's not the same when I bought it 5 yrs ago. Jeff and mom are leaving (flying out) on the 21st leaving me alone for 3 weeks and I don't feel safe to be here alone. I have 3 cats to watch over so it's not like I can just go stay at a friend's house. So after much searching we found someone who is willing to stay here with me in one of the extra rooms for a couple weeks during that time.
I am almost done filling out the bank's packet to request a short sale. I hope they will aprove. Once everyone gets back, we will move out of here. I don't care of the house has sold or not. I don't even care if it gets foreclosed a this point. It's not worth saving anymore. I worked so hard on it during the fall. We made much enovations, but what can I do? This neighborhood has become a nightmare.
I do have one thing to be thankful for.... at least I don't live in Syria. Anyways..... Sorry I don't have better news right now. Take care and God bless! xoxox

I am sorry that you are having such a hard time with your neighbors. Could you contact the police about the excessive noise and the fact that they are looking through your windows? Good luck hun.

I\'ve called the property manager on them a few a times but he won\'t write them a citation for noise. He just tells me there\'s nothing he can do but talk to him. The previous property manager used to write citations when residents violated rules. And if there were complaints more than 3 times (on a renter) the manager used to take action to have them evicted. But this new guy is way too nice and won\'t take action on anybody. Now I can see why there was a vote last year in the community to have him fired. But because of an error someone on the board did, they were forced to rehire him. I like the guy, he is very nice in person. But as a manager, he has no back bone. And the funny thing is, he\'s a pretty large dude. If one day he were to decide to grow a back bone, he has the potential of becoming scary! Unfortunately, we are stuck with a very soft spoken guy.... in a high crime community.... which is not what we need right now.

Hope things are going better. Sorry I haven\'t read your journal lately.

I hope you have moved and settling in and just let the past be the past. It is so sad how a neighborhood can go from good to bad in a heartbeat.

Our judicial system isn\'t worth a darn anymore. Its sad.
