Labor day week end for the most part was beautiful! the weather has been gorgeous! I went to Yokohama beach Friday and Sunday and the water was crystal clear! I mean i could see like a dozen yards under water and all the sea life! it was awesome! the sun was shining really bright on Sunday and lit up the water like it had lights underneath. It's amazing how God created all this stuff on the planet to be so beautiful. I did get a bit sunburned on Sunday, probably because i went right in the middle of the day (right after church) and i stayed for 2 hours. the sun was really strong that day.
I was actually able to go to church Sunday! that's so cool, because I hardly ever get to go. I usually can't make it in time being that I feel like crap all the time.
Speaking of feeling crappy... for the past week or 2, my pain has been pretty high. and I'm not sure how to get it back down. this past week it was so bad, i thought i was losing my mind. I tried stretching, resting, swimming, propping my legs up, all kinds of stuff and the pain wouldn't let up. the 2 worst of em all was the back pain (which i tried using my brace for) and my neck pain w/ pain radiating down into my hands. I didn't even play the ukulele this past week because of that.
In other news....
9/11 is coming up. this is a very hard time for me. it doesn't help that they plan on building that huge mosque next to ground zero. God, help me get through this.
I believe that everyone is put on this planet for a reason. Sometimes I feel like I'm just tired of laying around while life just passes by. I pray God gives me the strength and discernment to know when and what my purpose is. I'm still waiting His instructions (even if it's just small)...
OK my friends..... hope you all had a very good labor day weekend! and don't forget to take a moment of silence on 9/11 for all those who have perished. take care of your selves!

Blue, when you write about Hawaii, it makes me want to go there! It has always been a place that I\'d love to visit, though I can imagine that living there is like a dream come true. Who knows, some day maybe.
I\'m sorry you\'ve been feeling so poorly lately. Me too, though it\'s the story of my life. I haven\'t felt good in so long that I forget what it feels like to feel good :D Anyway, it sounds as though you have been doing things to help, but maybe you need to rest a bit and then introduce that stuff back in slowly?? Just a thought.
I\'ll keep you in my prayers, Blue. I think it is beautiful to hear that you are waiting on the Lord, to show you what it is you should do. None of us really know our calling, but you are right, in that we have to trust in Him to show us the way. I\'m doing this too, right now, as I sit in day after day.
9/11 is a reminder each year of the devastating loss our country suffered. But it is also a reminder of the heroes that day (both during and after) and the uniting of our country. Our country remembers and mourns those lost that day, I cannot even imagine what it would be like to have lost someone in the tragedies that took place that day.
You take care, and try to keep your stress down. I really hope you get some relief and feel better soon.
Sorry you\'re feeling bad - like sunsetzzs it makes me want to come to Hawaii when you describe it so beautifully. You pain awesome pictures with your words!
9/11 is hard for most everyone. I didn\'t lose anyone but my stepfather was on his way to work at the Pentagon and only wasn\'t there because of a morning dental appointment, and my youngest brother lived and worked within sight of the towers so he both saw it all and lived with the smoke, ash, and other stuff during the aftermath. It took me two days to reach him as communication was interrupted by the damage and the overload as others tried to do the same thing - confirm that loved ones were safe.
FYI, the so-called \"mosque\" is a community center which has, among other things, a public prayer room - not a mosque as the talking heads keep saying. It is also two blocks away, which in NYC means you virtually can\'t even see it from ground zero. Don\'t let the inaccurate hype add more stress to what will surely be a sad day of remembrance.
I\'ll be thinking about you - and about that gorgeous clear water!
I read about the \"center\" on more article then just one. I did homework about it. It will be an Islamic community center, 17 floors to include a built in mosque. they are raising $100 million for it. The guy that bought this paid over $3 million down in cash for the building and they can\'t trace where any of the money (including the $100 M) came from other than the Middle East. also, the target date to open is the 10th yr anniversary of 9/11.
but more than anything.... i grew up in a Muslim country and i know what an Islamic center means.
