ups and downs
Adi, my youngest bro, flew in on May 1st. he has been a huge help around here with me and mom. it has brought me some time and relief to lower my pain levels, head aches, and flares. Thank God!! and mom has really enjoyed his company too! we tried to get mom to watch Iron Man 2 when it cam out on Friday but she didn't want to leave the house, even in her wheel chair.
on the down side... shortly before Adi got here, Sonnie had gone back to his original behavior of not wanting to do anything for mom. plus been having a rotten attitude about all things. so when Adi arrived, he got to see with his own eyes how bad things are and since then has been trying to talk some sense into him. every night it has been terrible drama in this house. i hate it sooo much! one of the nights i threatened Sonnie that if he didn't straighten his attitude out and start taking responsibility as a family member, i was gonna lawyer up and have him removed from the mortgage AND house! he said he didn't give a shit what we did to him. i should have known since he's brain washed into believing that it's "dooms day", why would he give a crap about mortgage or the house? go figure...
one of the days i asked him to go shopping with Adi and I for mother's day stuff, Sonnie got angry and upset! said that he is "sick and tired of hearing about mothers day! soon it's her birthday! then Christmas! why do i always have to do things for her or get her things?!" i was so appalled and hurt that he said that after all she has done for us over the years and raising us! wft!
a few nights ago, mom and Sonnie started an argument in the living room where i heard him pointing fingers at the rest of us. i couldn't sit and let it go so i came down to set him straight!!! i told him off that yes, i am ANGRY and have every damn right to be! that he needs to shut IT! stop acting like a damn 3 year old, act like a man, take responsibility, do what he needs to do, so that mom can heal properly! mom can't heal with all this drama and negativity that you are causing in this house! the world does NOT revolve around YOU! yes mom raised us while having bipolar and that made her a bit cookoo... but she stuck by us and got the job done, unlike our father who abandoned us all together! and we all turned out ok... so get the f*ck over your self and HELP MOM get better! that's your priority!
this seemed to knock a bit of sense into him.... but him and Adi still argue every night. people don't change over night. i'm just praying to God that by the time Adi flies out on Friday, that Sonnie will have pulled his head out of his ass! i can't take this his bullshit anymore.........
btw, mom got her stitches out and they put a hard walking cast on. she is using her crutches to make it to the rest room during the day, but at night she still has to use the potty chair next to the couch.
for Mother's Day: Adi and i baked a dark chocolate rum cake (with real rum). we never made one before so it was an experiment. we also put together a home made lasagna with spaghetti in the bottom and layers the rest of the way. the lasagna pasta was made from artichoke, mmmm..... anyways, we layered it with ground turkey & mushrooms, spinach and ricotta cheese, of course topped with a pile of mozzarella Mmmmmmm
both creations came out sooo good! bad side to that was, i was in so much pain by the end of the night. even though i did most of it sitting down. OUCH.....
happy mothers day to all mothers out there! and to all my friends, God bless!
