As some of you know, I have plans for starting my own support group here in Hawaii, and recently met this man listed bellow. Well... GREAT NEWS!!!! HE JUST SENT ME THIS EMAIL: " As soon as you are ready -- and the sooner the better -- you need to contact Sandy Ballard, the director of the O'ahu Veteran's Center, 422-4000. She says that they can definitely provide you with the space to conduct a support group. She actually said that you are "in like Flynn." She also said that they are in the process of writing grants, and that she may be able to include your support group in her grants, so that you would have money for designing flyers, printing pamphlets, advertising in newspapers, activities, etc. She is very willing to help. I think that you should call her, set up a meeting, and discuss all your ideas with her. I also have some ideas for marketing, that we can discuss later. Let me know how the meeting with Sandy goes.
