Friday Matthew showed up and we talked about what happened between us the weekend before. At 1st we were mad at each other and argued for a while. Then the argument took a turn and we ended up talking about how much we care about each other and how this past week has made us both so sick from the depression. We got a lot off our chests and towards the end of the night we discovered how much we actually love each other. He spent the night just comforting me and showing me that he just wants to be there for me. I had pretty bad nerve pain from my groin to my toes through out my entire R leg friday night and through the weekend, that I had to go back to taking Tylenol with Codeine again. When we were at the beach, every little thing that touched my skin, including the sand felt as though it was ripping off my skin. It really hurt, but I was desperate to swim I had to go through with it. The rest of the weekend we continued to talk about our situation and how to make it better. We swam at the beach both Sat and Sun. Through the rest of the weekend, he stayed by my side and was very compassionate towards me. He comforted me like never before, I was so amazed! Today, Monday, he came to the VA with me to my Pain Management support group and told me that he will be coming weekly for at least the next 9 weeks. My anger management counseling has yet to be set up, but Matthew said that he will attend that with me as well. So, things are looking up and who knows, maybe great things will come out of all this!

Dear bluesun
am so happy for you and Matthew! It\'s best when we can communicate with other and really get our feelings out even if it means arguing! A lot of couples who end up divorced will tell you that they they never argued (in other words, chances are thry kept their feelings bottled up inside.) Doing that makes you and the relationship sick. It\'s much healthier to talk it out.
Sorry to hear about your right leg pain. It could be coming from a herniated disk problem. Why do you feel bad about having to take tylenol with codeine? I have to take pain meds everyday or I\'d have no like at all. I\'m not sure if swimming is good for your back right now. You need to see an orthpiatrist (sp) and have her/him do and mri on your lower back and get to the root of the problem. It sounds like you may have a herniated disk. I have 2 herniated disks in my lower back that give me the same king of pain. Right after herniating it, bed rest is best for a few days, and you should stay off your feet to give it a chance to heal. Let me know how it goes.
Well, it\'s after midnight, and I have to go to bed or I\'ll get manic. So, I\'ll talk to you tomorrow.

Love,
Elaine

I hate nerve pain! It\'s so hard to describe. I know exactly how you feel.
I\'m really happy you and Matthew are doing so well. :) I think he will learn a lot from the pain support group. It takes some time to understand if you are not going through it.
