Warning: long crazy entry Ok ,what happened Thursday night was, that our roommate Eric had his bike stolen, and he went down the street to try to get it back. He went several times before he told us about it, and ended up in fights each time. Each time he went back, I guess the number people grew. Late at night while Matthew and I were "busy", we heard a loud slam. I didn't think anything of it and we continued. As soon as we finished, we heard an even louder slam. Matthew put his close on and went down to check what was going on, and I went to the bathroom. When I came out, Matt told me there had been a fight that Eric was involved in, and that I should get dressed and come down. So I put some on and started down the stairs. Half way down the stairs I peeked into the living room and HOLY SHIT!! MY LIVING ROOM IS FULL OF COPS! I look down at Erics face and all I could see was blood running down the side of it. The cops and Eric argued about what happened, and they decided to take the other people's side. They also told him that they will have to arrest him since the one guy is pressing charges. 5-10 mins later after talking about it some more they stood him up and and cuffed him. I followed them out the door to the parking lot, and HOLY SHIT!!! THERE WAS COP CARS FILLING THE WHOLE PARKING LOT OUT TO THE STREET AND AS FAR AS THE EYES COULD SEE!! I tried counting them but there was way too many! They had enough back up to tame a riot!! I also noticed an ambulance for who ever was hurt in the fight, I guess. I noticed a white man dressed in bussiness atire talking with a cop, I guess he was a witness. So I asked him what happened. He told me he tried to brake up the fight down the street but they guys followed Eric home. And they tried to kick the door down. Then I went to the cop and he asked if I lived with Eric, I told him yes. He asked if he normally behaves this way. I told him that I've never seen any violent or strange behavior from him, so no. He asked me if I could get Eric's ID, so I went in the house and got it. When I came back I told the cop that he is on meds and I saw him take them today, so the cop asked me to get those as well. We stood around for maybe another 20 mins as the cops asked me a few more questions about him. After they all left, Matthew and I went back inside and went back to bed. We both layed there unable to sleep. The event just turned in our heads. I felt bad for Eric and wished there was a way I could go down and check on him. After a while, we finally were able to fall asleep. The next morning we noticed that the screen that was in the screen door was missing. We later found out that the cops came back and took it for blood evidence. I asked mom what blood evidence? She told that she wiped most of it off but it was all over, and if I go out side I can still see some. I went out there and sure enough there was blood splatted on the wall and smeared. It was on the door way and one of the handles as well. Gosh! It looked like a murder scene! Two days went by where we didn't see or hear from Eric, I started to worry. Saturday he finally came back and told me they released him because they couldn't hold him. What a relief! So Matt and I went to pick up a deep freezer I had bought and we also went to Home Depot where I bought a grill, a weed wacker, and a new thick steel security screen door. Which has yet to be installed. We grilled up a storm yesterday and ate some damn good stake!! Mm-mmm!!

My god, what a bad night! Sheesh! I\'m glad you were not hurt in any way, considering the violence that happened right outside your door. The moon has been full for the past few days...sometimes there is a peak in violent behavior during a full moon (this actually is a fact!) I know how badly you must be shaken up. So they held Eric for 2 days? What an awful thing to happen. I hope he (and you) will be alright after all this; sounds like you really earned that grilled steak. I would freak out if I walked down and saw a bunch of cops in my living room! Something like this is hard to get out of your head, I know. Glad it is over now and I hope this will be a better week for you.

What a terrible thing to happen and then for the cops to take the other guy\'s side. That just stinks. I hope everything works out okay.
