I'm writing this on a Saturday, which is the only day I seem to get any free time, in between working and caring for my elderly father which takes up the rest of my time during the week.  Saturdays are always a good day for me and I feel very positive today.  The weather is meant to be improving and I'm seeing my father and a friend for lunch, which I know will be enjoyable and relaxing.  My shoulders ache a bit from badminton and from lying awkwardly in the night, but otherwise I'm OK.  I'm trying not to think about all the things that get me down today.  Just for once I'm going to see everything and everyone differently.  This web site has helped me so much in seeing that there are people with far worse problems than my own and my heart goes out to them now as I feel I want to help, even if it's only to say I know how you feel, or hang in there.  In terms of progress I have made, I have managed a smile a few times this week and someone did compliment me on my sense of humour, so I feel as though that is a step in the right direction.  Other positives is that my father is in reasonable health for someone in his 80's, my sister is ill but she has a very close family who will help her more, so making me feel better about her situation, I have some very good friends who keep in touch with me through the ups and downs, listening to all my worries and offering good advice in return, a loving husband who is always there for me, so I am now going to count my blessings.  From today onwards I am going to set my goal to see my life as half full, not half empty. Thank you to all those who may read this.  Your comments are always very welcome.
