Today, I feel like such a complainer. I am totally stressed out with work and home stuff and feel like I am drowning. I have 7 major, business critical projects going on right now. Everything is urgent and there is literally no one who can help me do my job, not even my boss because he doesn't know how to do my job yet. My former manager, who did (sort of) know the job, left the company 4 days after I started my new position. So, I had 3 days of training - everything else was learned on the fly. But, this former manager was pretty much incompetent, and was basically pushed out of the company, so I can't say too much for the training. Luckily, I had a grasp for what I would be doing before I started or else I would have failed.

That said, I had to leave work early today because I got one of the worst migraines of my life. The pain wasn't the worst, but the nausea and vomiting was the worst. My biggest fear came true today - I threw up on the train (which was full) on the way home today. All over the floor, my clothes, and the side of the seat in front of me. Luckily, it didn't get on the person sitting in the seat. That would have made it totally worse. I was so mortified - I wanted to die in that moment. The man in the seat in front of me was very helpful and gave me a plastic bag which I was able to use until my stop (20 minutes later). I had a spare shirt (well, it was a camisole that I bought for an undershirt) in my bag so I could get out of my smelly shirt. I dropped it on the nasty floor of the station bathroom! Gross! But still, I put it on. Then took it off the second I got home. This has been, without a doubt one of the hardest days of my life.

To top it all off, my husband is out of town on a business trip and won't be back until Saturday. I tried to call my sister in law, who is the only family that lives close, but she was working tonight. I couldn't take care of even myself, much less my child. His daycare provider kept him for a while longer, then drove him home for me, which was a great help. But she couldn't keep him all night, obviously, because #1 it's not her job, and #2 she had to go to a company dinner with her fiance. she brought him home and I turned on a movie for him. Then it was time for bed when it went off.

Now, it's almost 2 am in California and I can't sleep. Even though I am exhausted and didn't sleep at all this afternoon. I think I'm gonna have to call in sick at least part of the day tomorrow. this sucks! I think I'm going to try some progressive relaxation now and get some sleep for the next 4 hours. Blah!
