I didn't sleep much again last night. Woke up a few times and my mind was just racing. I live in an older house with an old gas furnace located under the house. It sometimes has this delayed ignition thing, I guess with it being drafty under the house. Well, when it ignites... BOOM! Scares me so bad and shakes the whole house. It did it twice last night while I was sleeping, then I got up and turned it way down so it wouldn't come on again. It's done it twice this morning too. It used to give me anxiety attacks when it happened, but I guess I've gotten desensitized to it or something. The first time it happened, my son was downstairs watching a TV show and I was back in bed for a few minutes of extra rest. I thought that he had pulled something big and heavy down. Now, I know what the sound is but it still startles me every time. We've had the gas company come twice to look and a heater guy come take a look. They say that it can't hurt anything. I just don't know. I really want to go back to sleep. Maybe I'll get a nap when my son does today.
