Well, 29 days down, and counting. It's a little scary when I think about the one month mark coming up. I try to keep focusing on the day at hand, and deal with the present urge or craving. I had some hard times this weekend. I'm glad I had gotten on the site someone else had suggested by the American Lung Assoc. They warned about the "threes": three days, three weeks, three months, etc. I went to a quitter friend's house to play games as usual on Friday, but someone had burnt the woods nearby accidentally, and the smell of smoke was EVERYWHERE. I guess I have really relied on the FRESH AIR and BREATHING so much that it really threw me off. Later I went to a bonfire where for the first time I encountered SMOKERS! I remembered what someone (Shevie?) said about watching their faces. They think they're relaxed but their faces show otherwise. I did better there; got up and moved a few times when their secondhand smoke blew in my face. I don't know how ANYONE deals with someone smoking in their house when they are trying to quit! Anyway, still hanging in there. Still tickled, but honestly feeling a bit shaken and shaky right now.
