Had a GREAT weekend.  Birding was the deal.  Surprised to findI could run up the steps of the observation tower, when a fewmonths back, I huffed and puffed WALKING up!  Had a few cravesthat caught me by surprise, but nothing I couldn't handle.  Mainlyjust BREATHED through it.  I'm becoming an expert at breathingdeeply.  I get ticked off when I get behind a smelly exhaust orsomething else stinks, because I have become a connoiseur of FRESH AIR.   Needless to say, I'm still very tickled about it all! This weekend, planning a LONG WALK in the WOODS with justMY DOG!  Still spoiling myself rotten, loving every minute of it!

It never ceases to amaze me how fast our bodies heal once we quit puffing poison. I used to huff and puff walking up 6 steps and now can walk my dog at a very good clip for an hour and not get winded. It\'s odd when the craves come, I still get a ghost of a crave every now and then but it\'s gone is a matter of a second or two. Now as for your sense of smell, have you found that you can smell someone firing up a nasty ciggy all the way across the parking lot? I swear that those of us who have been smoke free for a month or more are far more sensitive to the smell of smoke than those who never smoked at all. That might be something to look into and write about! lol Keep up the great job you\'re doing Carrie, you inspire so many newbies and keep spoiling yourself because you are so very worth it!

I remember the last time I was out in the woods at this womans house, hmm it was December 8th actually and I wrote quite a bit about it in my journal as it was such a magical night and we walked at night in the dark and my friend Marci (never a smoker) commented on how I just marched right up the hill and didn\'t stop to catch my breath! It is liberating to breath. You might check out that entry of mine, it was a spectacular night and I\'ll be renting this womans cabin next month to celebrate my birthday, can\'t wait.
