19 days smoke free and FEELING free! Right now, I feel I have a brand new lease on life. Shevie\'s discussion on the brain helped me tremendously. Now I know why I was feeling like a crab. Just knowing makes me feel some better. As a result, I have been intent on rewarding myself as often as possible: I have started saying affirmations to myself, e.g. \"I know I can do this. I know I can stay quit. One day at a time. I\'m happier and freer as a non-smoker\". I do special little things for myself, like cooking a special treat with new taste sensations, since I CAN taste now. Also, took a luxurious bubble bath with a goblet of ice water on the side and dried with a fresh, fragrant towel, played guitar and sang better than I have in a LONG time, picked myself some camelias, took the long, scenic route home, and overall have just been spoiling myself rotten. I\'m loving it. Today, I decided I would vacuum my car and Febreze it to the nines, since I\'ve not done that since my quit. I was reaching under my seat from the backseat to get anything out from under there, and guess what came rolling out? Yep, three perfectly pristine ciggies! Know what, I wasn\'t even tempted! In fact, I was repulsed. That\'s got to be a good sign. I couldn\'t get rid of them fast enough, although to prove how much IN-CONTROL I am now, I saved one for my niece who is one of those every once in a while smokers I envy so much. She is dogsitting for me while I go on my BIRDWATCHING TRIP THIS WEEKEND. I\'m so excited I can hardly stand myself. Needless to say, STILL tickled, maybe even more so! Thanks to any and all who are lending support. You have made such a difference!
