SOMETIMES I WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND THE FIRST THING THAT POPS IN MY MIND ARE MY FRIENDS HERE ON DS. I ALWAYS TAKE A MOMENT TO THANK GOD FOR YOU. I THANK HIM FOR BRINGING ME HERE NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE. MY HEART LEAPS AT THE THOUGHT OF ALL OF MY SPECIAL FRIENDS HERE. I DON'T THINK I COULD EVEN EXPRESS HOW MUCH YOU MEAN TO ME. BUT THEN I DON'T THINK I REALLY HAVE TO EXPLAIN. YOU ALL MUST FEEL THE SAME WAY. THIS IS SUCH A SPECIAL PLACE. A REFUGE WHERE WE CAN COME, WHERE WE KNOW WE WILL FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT. WHETHER WE ARE DEPRESSED, ANGRY, OR HAPPY WE CAN PUT ON OUR PANTS THAT DAY! WE JUST UNDERSTAND. THERE IS A SPECIAL BOND. I FIND MYSELF DRIFTING OFF TO DS THROUGHOUT MY DAILY ACTIVITIES, WONDERING WHAT YOU ARE DOING, HOW YOU ARE FEELING, WHO NEEDS A HUG OR A PRAYER. I TALK ABOUT YOU WITH MY FAMILY, YOU HAVE BECOME A REALITY IN MY WORLD. YOU HAVE BECOME APART OF MY FAMILY. YOU HAVE BECOME APART OF MY HEART. I SO APPRECIATE YOU. YOU HAVE MADE MY LIFE A BETTER PLACE. THANK YOU.

I thibk about you too Sheri and then I think about how far apart we live! lol...I love so many people here too. I think God blessed me and led me here. I had had a rough week and my sister the nurse practioner called to see if she could bring her children over and visit. I told her I was really sick and couldnt get out of bed for 3 days and I was slurring bad and my face was so numb. She said I bet you caught a virus!
Sheri I thought oh my she doesn\'t get it, she doesn\'t get that I\'ve had the bug all year! lol..
I then thought about my friends on here and how they would get it. How they could help me and listen and understand.

HI Sherie, I love ya like a sister you are one of my oldest friends on here and just knowing you are all here makes me know I am not alone. It gives me that extra push I need to make it through. My son constantly jokes and says \"Mom you got friends\" I say yes and with this illness I have made so many more. I too thank God at night for everyone and pray for a cure. Love ya Sister! Mary
