Well, I got some news I didn't really expect. I got my MRI results back today. Let me start from the beginning. When I was 18 months old, we lived with my great aunt and uncle on a horse ranch. One day while my mom thought I was sleeping in my crib, I climbed out and went out to the pasture to see the horses. . .my mom said I loved the horses. Well, I walked right out there in the middle of them, and got kicked in the head, on the right side.  When my mom went to check on me, of course I wasn't there, so they went looking. My uncle found me out in the middle of the horses, they had surrounded me in a circle. He pulled me out of there and had to suck all the blood out of my nose and lungs and give me mouth to mouth. I was in a coma for 3 days. When I came out of it. . .miracles of miracles, there was no brain damage. I was fine! They did tell my mom and dad that I might later develop Epilepsy due to the area and scarring where I was kicked.  Well, you know what's coming next, yep, I have Complex Partial Epilepsy.  They put me on Depakote, 500mg a day. My neuro said I am unable to drive for about 6-7 months. I was really surprised at her concern and she was very sympethethic. She sat down right next me to and got very close, talked very slowly so I could understand, and even explained it very carefully to my husband. (She may turn out to be okay afterall!)  They are also schedualing me for an LP, an MS series of testing and are testing me for Myasthenia Gravis.  I have a nerve conduction test next week.  So things are moving along. I'm so relieved to get some of my questions answered. I actually seen two neuro's today, it's kind of nice that they are both there, to make sure everything gets done. I do have a lesion in my right side temporal lobe, she said it's an old one, and not sure if it's from the Epilepsy or MS. Well, that was my day. . .How was yours???
