I used to be able to go on 5 hrs of sleep and would feel great! Then one of my first symptoms was insomnia, I was lucky to get 3 hrs in 24 hrs! That lasted about 2 months. Then the fatigue hit and I've fought it ever since. There are sometimes whole weeks that I have great energy, then I just crash! I'll usually sleep about 8 hrs a night then take a 3-4 hr nap in the afternoon! My husband tries to wake me and it's like I'm paralized to the bed and nothing can make my eyes stay open! I know it's frustrating for my family, and they really don't understand what's going on inside me, but then again. . .niether do I. I just keep trudging along.

I gotta tell you [ I can\'t read your entries in lavendar! Are you taking anythig to help you sleep, like ambien? Or proviil for the fatigue? We have to treat our MS as components. I take rebif for the MS, and a different medication for each syptom. Good luck.

Hi, I am ther with you and this extreme heat is making it worse.
All I di was go to the supermarket walking from the car to the front door of the store I was feeling sick and very tired. I went home and crashed on the couch. I woke up my son was laughing not at me just about this craziness and how it takes its toll. I was always a buzy bee so he is really confused. I am like Littlewing now. Do something then rest.. it seems to work.. they may put me on provigil soon.
I shared your post a moment ago with my husband and he shared it sounded like me. It is sad when MS heavy weighted fatigue hits and the 3-4 hour naps come by in the afternoon. My psychotherapist who sees several folks like us shared to try to take one or two twenty minute naps daily even if you\'re not tired to prevent conking out. I tried it and it worked but don\'t know if it was a \'good day\'. I find that walking for 5 minutes a day in the morning, when I have the most energy helps a bit too and being sure I eat a full 3 meals a day. I keep myself superhydrated and that helps a bit. Every little bit helps as we get through this. All my best, Peony
