Okay, so the energy lasted for about a day and a half.  I have taken a four hour nap everyday since Friday!  Then go to bed and sleep all night and still tired in the morning! I have been trying not to overextend myself as far as too much housework, to much running around, as a matter of fact, I stay home most of the time and try to pace myself. This is making me feel awful!   I have an MRI on thursday, and I know this sounds horrible, but I really do hope they find something! I've been having spasms in my left calf, and my back hurts so bad when I lay down! I have been taking 20mg of baclafen at bedtime, and 650mg of Aleve.  It helps a little, but the pain is always there! But my doctor did say something about Chronic Fatigue and Fibro, so that could possibly the answer there. I know I'm just beginning on my journey and many of you have been so much worse and it's taken so many years for you, the pain I can handle, it's the fatigue that gets me! I know it's not depression, the cybalta is doing great, I've never felt better mentally! The Xanex I take at bedtime so I know that's not causing my fatigue, and I haven't had an anxiety attack in two weeks! So, I guess today I'm just complaining! All that aside, I'm really excited! My little Chihuahua is pregnant!  I can't wait for her to have her puppies! She's hairless and the papa is a beautiful little white Chihuahua. I hope I get at least one hairless out of her. Everyone is already is saying "I want one"!!!! I don't know if I'll be able to get rid of any of them!  She's really small, so I don't expect more then four out of her. Her momma had four, and so did her sister. I expect them in about 2 months, say prayers for her safety, she's my little angel. She always knows when I'm not feeling well, she always wants to be in my lap, and gives me hugs, (real hugs!) She has the best personality! She shares my coffee with me every morning, I have to get her her own little cup so she won't beg me to death! I'm cutting her back though because of the puppies! She just gives me so many smiles!Well, I'll close, if anyone has any suggestions for the fatigue, please let me know. I'm going to research Chronic fatigue and Fibro, so I'll talk to ya'all later.  Love you all so much!Sheri

Hi Sherie, My answers may or may not be the answers for you, but I have made some changes that have helped with the fatigue, at least for now. When I really feel tired, I have decided to rest/sleep as much as I feel like I need (as much as that is possible with two small children). I look at it now, not so much as somethng I have to fight (although I can hardly stand being so fatigued!), but that my body is desperately trying to heal. We do a lot of healing when we are sleeping. I also take very seriously what I am eating. I have gone to a naturopath and allergist to find foods that I am intolerant/allergic to. It takes a lot of energy for our bodies to handle such things. I also eat as healthy as possible. This makes a huge difference. Then, when I am able, I only do as much caffeine as I really need, because in the long run it sabatoges everything. I do drink caffeinated tea just to get me through the day sometimes, though. If I am having any energy at all, I do my best to at least go for a short walk. This improves mood, gets the blood pumping and actually helps my mental functioning. I did some research and ran across a study about the L-carnitine supplement being better for M.S. fatigue than some of the drugs prescribed. Obviously I am not a doctor, so I don\'t feel qualified to tell others to take it, but I have been taking it for a couple of months myself. Also I have increased my vitmin D supplements according to my doctor\'s suggestion and have been getting outside and getting sun daily, if possible. Around here, it is easy to keep it in moderation. Besides that, I have dealt with a lot of emotional issues of the past that I believe were draining me. However that is exhausting when a person is dealing with them. Also spending time doing things I love with people I love whenever possible seems to make a difference.... and of course a lot of prayer! I will be saying some for you too. I hope at least some of these suggestions are helpful. I am doing much better right now. Many blessings to you, Ronnie

Hi Sherie
Sorry to hear your energy level is so down. Fatigue and pain or the things that bother me the most. I also have Fibro with the MS then you factor in all my sedating meds no wonder I am always tired lol ...It is frustrating and with you taking the meds you take they are all sedating meds as well, I take them also along with 15 others lol..It is hard because they do help with what you need for the most part but then you got fatigue, vicious circle. They can still drag on you even if you take them at night especialy since you just started taking them more. As for the spasms maybe they can up the bacflocen or try something else for you. I also take requip to help with my legs but that is for RLS but could work. I know you probably don\'t want to add anymore meds but I tried the Vitamin B stuff and others, didn\'t help so I use to take Provigil for fatigue and it worked wonderfully but raised my anxiety so I tried another route and take Adderall XR and it helps just not as good as the Provigil but I have less anxiety. I will take what I can get! Even though you have anxiety problems it may not affect you that way, as with this disease meds are all different too. So that is what helps me with my fatigue for the most part and sometimes I can still take it and go to sleep. I hope you get some answers and relief with your new MRI. Some just don\'t get how much the fatigue can play a factor in your day. MS fatigue is like no other and noone gets it unless they get it! Hang in there!!
Congrats on your doggy having babies, I hope that goes well for you too and her! I bred my dog once couldn\'t do it for a living because I would want to keep them all too! They are just so cute, I kept one, a male, then got them both fixed. I was away when they sold them, they went all in one day, I just marked the one I wanted to keep. It is funny how they can sense when something is not right. How can you not love them!! All the best to you..you take care....Hugs and prayers, Michelle
ps.....sorry so longgggggggggggg :-)
