Hey everyone!! I have missed you all sooooo much! Our internet has been down and it just came back on today. . .so here I am to give you all the rundown on my Neuro appointment.  I've been feeling pretty good lately, except for major fatigue!  I just can't seem to wake up!  But I'm getting through, thank to all your prayers. Now, for my neuro appointment! Whew! First of all I seen the the attending MD, a wonderful, sympathetic, understanding African man. He made me feel so comfortable! He really listened to me and what I've been going through. I told him about the neuro and her emphysema comment and he told me that they DO NOT have the same symptoms except when the emphysema is bad. . .lack of oxygen causes fatigue and dizziness, but not in my case.  He did say (and I did expect to hear this) that he was doubtful it was MS, because there is 15 criteria they have to dx to give a positive identification. They have taken 11 vials of blood, so far the first 7 came back normal except for my b12 which is still low. . .ergo the injections.  They took 4 more after those and I have yet to learn of there results. Testing for Eptstien-barr syndrome, Graves disease, Hepatitis and something else I don't remember. Well, after I talked to the doctor. . .the neuro came in and was very, very, very nice!!! My husband heard the MD talking to her in the hall and raising his voice to her, maybe he was getting on to her about the whole emphysema thing!?  Anyway, he came into the examining room with her, and she started telling me of the tests we were going to start taking. . .MRI with contrast, nerve conductive testing, numerous blood tests. . .etc. . . the MD said if they can't find the reason behind my symptoms they will join hands with me and keep looking until we found an answer, then we would talk about probable MS, and possible MS. It is exactly what I needed to hear! He said obviously something is not right, and he would be there every step of the way. . .Thank you my Lord for Your protection over me! So. . .that has been my last couple of  weeks!  But I'm here in great spirits!Love you all!!!

Isn\'t it wonderful when prayers are answered? I\'m so glad that you had a doctor who really listened to you! All doctors need to have this quality. I\'m glad that your first seven vials of blood are normal. The B12 deficiency is interesting as I believe (could be wrong) that I read that it isn\'t uncommon for MS patients to have a low B12 count. You might want to research this--your docs might not be aware of it.
