Well, went to the doc today. I've been having anxiety attacks (really bad ones). I told him about the depression (for all of you). He has put me on Xanax and Cymbalta. I had a really bad anxiety attack today and totally lost it! About 10 minutes before it happened I took a half of Xanax, and it took about 30 minutes for me to calm down. It has never been that bad. I was ready for the hospital! But i'm home and doing much better. My insides are still shaky, but I have calmed down a lot. It's like right now, a little is just to much for me to deal with. So I had to do something. I pray continuisly for God to keep His hand on me and protect my mind because I feel like I'm losing it. So I know He is right here, carrying me through this challenging time. And I know that I have all of you here to turn to when I am confused.I told him about the neuro, he said to go back and get my labwork done. . .it's extremely important. He was angry when I told him that she said MS and emphysema have the same symptoms, he said something about their ego's! He said to go to my next appointment and chances are it will be a different neuro because it's a clinic. If he puts in a change request right now it could take a couple more months before I get back in, so i'd rather hang in there. Anyway I'm waiting for another MRI (with contrast) and I don't want to take the chance of losing that.He is such a wonderful doctor. . .I am so lucky there. He wants to keep me on disability because of the anxiety. I've dealt with this for about 4 years. Disability doesn't even ask me to fill out a biweekly report, they will just now send me my checks every 2 weeks! It's only temporary disability, I went on it last august. . . I guess they figure, since I've been on it this long whats the point?? So that was my day, next week another appointment with the neuro to go over my bloodwork. We'll see how that goes. Please keep me in your prayers my friends.Love to all of you!

How terrible that you had that frightening anxiety attack.Thank goodness the dr put you on some meds to control them.Anxiety attacks make you feel as if the whole world is some sort of mad merry-go-round with no getting off.The good thing is that there are meds to help you.
See,your dr agreed she had a superego-probably a defense mechanism for ignorance or incompetence. At least,that\'s been my experience.Glad you returned for labwork,it is very important. You are always in my prayers.
Hang in there, you are in my prayers.
I have had them in the past. Had to leave a whole cart full of food at the grocery store. Did doc check to see if maybe meds could be causing this? I pray for you daily and will continue to my friend!
On a side note: The anxiety could be comming from your sis-in-law. LOL
Blessings and Peace!
Love ya,
Lori
hang in there you are in my thoughts I also take xanax even though I want to try to go off of it. My husband tells me that I am much more relaxed and pleasent to be around while taking it. Try the full .25 dosage. It is still such a low dosage.
Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with anxiety :-( I know how that is and my panic and anxiety has gotten so bad over the years. It really takes a toll on you too! I can\'t even go into WalMart anymore unless it is late at night and not busy. I use to take 5mg klonopin a day and switched to 4mg xanax XR a day. So you may have to up the dosage if needed. I hate to take as much as I do along with all my other meds but you have to do what you have to do. It does stink and makes it hard to do things. Hopefully you will find relief somehow!! I took Cymbalta too with Xanax and got decent results so I hope that is your answer just give the Cymbalta time to work. Glad to see the doctor gave you some Xanax but that is the bad part it takes 30 minutes to kick in. That is why I take it all day and double up if I got to go somewhere big and take it in enough time to kick in. So that is a good idea if you know you are going somewhere you may have one. I know it is hard because you never know when they may pop up. Glad you have one good doc and unfortunately we all seem to get a whacky one out there from time to time. Too bad you couldn\'t see a regular one all the time instead of switching. I love my neuro and it makes all the difference in the world. Plus he knows my history. Glad he is young and will be around for a long time!! Hang in there you are not losing it it just wants you to think that!! I wish you all the best with the new meds and your MRI!! I pray things all go well for you and things start looking up!! Oh and I am glad you read my journal and it helped! I love that song and I have so many ones like that so I can try and keep my spirits up when I have days like this!! I will send them to you if you want!? I made a CD and always have them all at hand so if I am in the house or in the car, amazing how they can boost you ! Sorry so long!! I hope you are feeling better and you have yourself a great weekend!!! Hugs and prayers for you!!!
