I have completed the book by Janie Spring, PHD After the Affair. I highlighted and made notes. I have begun to talk to my husband about the findings in the book and have already been able to uncover reasons as to why he was unfaithful. One stems from his teenage years. He is reading on a daily basis as well books that have more of an appeal to him. He loves Dr. Phil. He has already begun to have "lightbulb moments." He has gone to the health dept to be tested to std's and hiv. Porn has been boxed up and will be sold or trashed.

riding a roller coaster of emotions
Sorry that you are going threw this. You will be on a roller coaster ride for awhile untill you get it all figured out.Just know that in no uncertain terms is it your fault in anyway and that you are not alone in this.IF you need someone to talk to message me.....Your friend...Lisa
Had a good evening last night. He recognizes when I am quiet and withdrawn. He wanted to discuss. I told him I am still in pain and that it will take some time to heal. He said he hopes for me to be happy again when he calls me at work. He has cut back to more than half on alcohol consumption. I introduced him to DS last night and he began to build his profile. He said he was not comfortable telling strangers his problem. I reminded him it is really no difference than going to group therapy. If he will talk with other sex addicts and porn addicts I am sure it will help. Tonight we will work on his profile and some in the Dr. Phil workbook(Relationship Rescue)
I am married to a man with similiar types of problems, get him, the book by Terrence real, I don\'t want to Talk about it, it is amazing and it uncovers so much for these guys and you.
So many have unresolved issues from childhood that all come out in adulthood.
Hi
Pooh Bear is right. The roller coaster is not a short ride. yet, we really dont have any choice do we. If we leave the pain wont instantly go away either. At least he is there for you to talk to and that is not the norm. God ne with you.
Forgot, Janis Springs book is great! also, my favorite is \"not Just friends\" by Shirley Glas PhD. i have just started reading a book made for reconcilliation work, which you may not be ready for but keep in mind for the future, \"Real Love in Marriage, by, Greg Baer, MD.
