I got in to Indiana last night and drove 2 hrs straight to the hospital...I guess I wasn't clear in my journal yesterday...my bio mom lives in Indiana, so I flew in to see her...

She was in a lot of distress and it was painful to see her that way...but I did tell her how thankful I was to have the privilege of getting to know her...and how much it meant to know she has kept me in her heart all these years. She had told one of my sisters it was such a relief to her to find out I had turned out OK...how much she had wanted me to find her...and that she could be at peace about me now...

I met some nephews and nieces for the first time last night, and the whole family was very kind to me.

During the wee hrs., I listened as each family member would come by and tell me of their favorite memories of her...there was laughter and tears and many hugs shared in comfort to each other...

I just now woke up after sleeping for a few hrs...don't yet know of the latest....so will be finding that out when I finish writing...

Sending you all my love and gratitude for making me feel that I am not facing all that I'm going through alone...it constantly goes through my mind that my (ex) bf isn't there for me to share this with...I guess it is for the best I don't know where he is right now, or I might have reached out to him for comfort...

Glad you made the trip safe and sound. You made such a good decision by making the trip and being there for your mother. I\'m sure it means so much to her. Take care and embrace these precious moments. Love, Sandie

Im sure she loves you very much, especially after having met you.
you are a wonderful and kind person, and she must be very proud of you and happy to have met you. you turned out great. Im sure meeting your family was just the beginning of a great relationship. I know it would be very easy to reach out to him for comfort, especially when you two were together so long, but you did this to improve your life. i know it doesnt feel like its improved right now.
but you are better away from him. you are strong and you can make it.
Lots of love for you and hugs.

Just knowing that you were able to get there, and speak to your bio mom, makes me feel better for you. I had no doubts that you would be received well by the family, and I know that must have been a weight lifted.
As difficult as this past week has been for you, I think things happen for a reason, and its probably a good thing that the BF isn\'t in the picture right now, this is something that you needed to do for yourself, and for your bio family. I am certain they will see just how special you are, and they will embrace your presence, get to know you, and include you in their family. Being able to find you, and meet you, was a huge missing puzzle piece for you mom, and as hard as it is to hear, I feel in my heart that she feels complete.
we love you, Dianne, you are a very special part of our family
Keeping you, and your family, in our thoughts and prayers.

love and hugs

I\'m glad you\'re having the chance to say good bye to your bio-mom, and getting to know some more of your family. The situation is so sad, I\'m so sorry your mom is going through so much pain. Your bf, well, he\'s not there. Focus on the moment, honey. It\'s all gonna\' be okay. I\'m thinking about you often, and your mom. I just lost mine, and I\'m here to tell you, it\'s gonna\' be okay. I love you, Robin

Dianne, what you described in your je is exactly how I pictured this going for you. As hard and as sad that this situation is for all involved, it truly is beautiful. For you and your bio-mom to be able to see each other one last time, for your sibs to be able to share their favorite memories of their mom with you, all of this is a beautiful way for a life to come to an end in love and peace. You are a wonderful, loving and strong woman that I feel very priveledged to call friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers....
Sending you love and peace,
Julie
