Wednesday evening, just finished work.....today I made another payment to the IRS, and must have connected to an angel there because when I called today to let them know I was making a payment, this beautiful person gave me an extension of 120 days to pay off what I owe in arrears!!!!!!! This is now completely doable, unless I am struck down by a truck or some other untimely misfortune....In the past, I would have used this relief from pressure to go back to wasting money/gambling.....I hope to continue my frugal ways to not only go ahead and pay this off but to get out of debt completely....I so want to have no more debt, and to be free to do what I want in life. For a long time, I have felt enslaved to debt. If I keep on with my new habits, I can begin to have faith that I will get out of this hole I dug myself with gambling, and begin to actually set aside money for the future. I would like to retire some day!!!! or at least cut back. :-) The way things WERE going, I would have to work until I actually keeled over....timber..........boom........ :-) Someday I would like to be able to travel again.....right now, I can't afford the time off from my business. It takes me at least a month to recover from one week off......I'ld love to go back to Europe and also to Asia, South America, Canada, Central America, Africa, and Australia......OK I want to go everywhere! I did some training in Nurnberg, Germany some years ago, and lived there for four months. Every Friday after work, I would race to my room, check the weather to see where it was sunny, grab my backpack and head to the metro and from thence the train station. I lived in one room in a converted former Gestapo building with no cooking facilities and had to go about half a block down a very long hall to use the bathroom.....and I really didn't mind, although cold showers got a little bit old! I didn't have a car over there, so I got in really good shape from all the hiking around carrying a heavy pack. At the train station, I would check the schedule to see if I could catch a night train to wherever; Paris, Rome, Prague, Venice, Berlin, London, Vienna, Amsterdam, Athens, Copenhagen, Monte Carlo, Istanbul......I would sleep on the train, get off the next morning, find someplace to stay for the night, and then just explore.....Sunday night I would be on the train back to Nurnberg. I had such a blast, and met many nice people along the way. Sometimes I travelled with friends, sometimes alone. I will always treasure my memories of my travels from that time. Someday, I want to be free from financial pressures to the extent that I can take time away from work to enjoy life doing the things I want to do! On the one hand, gambling and all its misery, on the other hand, a rewarding life full of adventure, peace, love, and self-respect......HMMMMM, which one do I choose??????

You have such wonderful memories, and from your descriptions, it is almost as though I am seeing it thru your eyes. Getting out of debt, with a real end in sight, is an amazing feeling, and your extension was definitely a gift! Good things happen to those that help themselves, by rolling up their sleeves, and getting down to the nitty gritty, and you have definitely done that. That has to be a tremdous weight off of your shoulders. We are happier, healthier, and better than ever. Things just keep getting better!
hugs and love

You can do it. I know you can, you are a stronger more determined person then when I first \"met\" you here. Congrats and keep up the good work!
YOur life is getting better and better. I imagine ( as well as being a secret angel there ) the IRS can see that you are wanting to pay back you debt.
You are dreaming again...I love this. I hope you get to live out all of them. -hugs to you today Suzi
You moving in the right direction - You will be there again - you will have that freedom. Your strength and conviction will take your there again. Blessings
I have found from experience (unfortunately) that the IRS can be very easy to work with when it comes to paying taxes.. My ex husband and I have a huge tax bill that we pay on monthly and as long as they are getting something, they are happy.. You sound so full of hope - I love it.. I love that you are setting goals for yourself once you are out from beneath the financial burden.. Mike is right - treat yourself to something little.. some flowers maybe!!!
Your plans sound wonderful! You are doing such a great job! Keep it up, friend, I\'m so proud of you.
