Monday, feeling good....went to a laundromat last night for the first time in years....my washer broke the same day my TV broke last week....they are conspiring against me...LOL....I won't fix either one until I meet my financial deadline with the IRS, so it'll be the laundromat and my funky old TV with the jerky picture that is about 30 years old until then.....I think I'll live... :-) I celebrated my 60 days GF this weekend, and I am feeling pretty strong. Nothing to get over-confident about, but I am encouraged. The real test for me will come when I have paid down my IRS bill and the wolf moves away from the door temporarily....will I be able to remain GF then??? I hope and pray that I will, but I think I need to realize I will be more vulnerable again then and be prepared. As for today, I am gambling free.

(((Dianne))) those things were so hard for me...the things I had to do without because of consequences...i didn\'t have my priorities in order for a long time...you sound great :)
Well, we could put my washer and your dryer together and we\'d have a fully operational set!
The red tube went out on the tv, so its back to the regular one, the vacuum died, and the carpet cleaner quit cleaning. oh yeah, and the fax machine took a crap........when it rains it pours and it seems like when one appliance breaks, the do conspire just to see how far they can push you! LOL Thank goodness I kept the old vacuum and a few extra bags for it, and the old fax machine got dragged down off the shelf and put back into service....and to think, I almost got rid of it not to long ago.
OH well, we\'ll make it, one way or the other. Kind of funny how the new stuff broke, and the old stuff is what I am falling back on. Thank goodness for having them for a back up. I can watch a smaller tv, use the old vaccum, rent a carpet cleaner, and I have plenty of hangers to hang wet clothes on to dry. My house may look like an indoor garage sale on the weekends from all the clothes hanging from the doorways, but it works for now.
Take care Dianne!
love and hugs

Great job on 60 days GF! Sounds like you are preparing yourself and thinking ahead. Very smart! You have to be ready to fight those wolves at every minute! Keep it the good work! You can do it :)
Yes, when it rains it pours. It always seems to come in 3\'s for me.
I think our lives may be intertwined more than we think. I often times read journals and the details are unnervingly similar to mine.
I like the analogy of the wolf at the door. It is when the sheep could walk 2 abreast through the door, that the wolf springs.
thanks for all your introspective comments and encouragements. I wish I could do the same for you.

My dryer is on the fritz - whenever I turn it on I have to put earplugs in or go outside cause it screeches so bad it sounds like a cat dying!!! But a new dryer is just not in the financial picture. Your attitude towards things sounds so postive and grown up - I guess i feel like when I was gambling I wasn\'t acting like a grown up cause I was not making grown up decisions. Congrats on the sixty days - you are an inspiration.
Dianne I have seen your posts and comments and other peoples journeys. You sound so positive! Congrats on being 60 days GF - what a great achievement. Hugs to you - one thing about going to the Laundrymat is it give you plenty of time to read :)- every cloud has a silver lining. -suzi
