Saturday Night, and I'm not at a casino.  That's good, because it is on my mind.  My fellow gambler boyfriend is in the next room sulking, certainly because without me paying for it, he is not at the casino either. I've actually been financing two casino habits.  The relationship with him was been one of the triggers.  He got me into the habit, as I never gambled before we moved in together.  He is in even worse financial shape than I am, as he has been at it longer.    I ask myself if I can really quit as long as we are together.  He may leave me if I remain "abstinent."  Don't know.  Fighting depression, just exercised and my mood lifted.  I'm telling myself not to let his hostility drag me down, and to stay positive.  That's my goal for tonight.

This is a very hard addiction to break. It can be done. You have to take it one day at a time. Even a min at a time. Stick to your guns don\'t go gambling. If you go you feel horrible when you get home. YOu are in my thoughts. Take care and here a big ((((((((((hug))))))))))). Melissa

Thanks Melissa- it means a lot to have your comment. Just reading it, I don\'t feel so all alone with this problem. I know you\'re right about feeling horrible if I were to go gambling. With all the trouble I\'m in financially, it could just finish me off emotionally as well. It would be complete suicide. Thanks again for the hug- and here is one for you (((((((((((((hug))))))))))))
What do you do to manage the temptation on bad days?? My boyfriend constantly talking about how he needs to go gambling may eventually wear on me, and I just can\'t have that. Today, I\'m strong enough to ignore him. I hope that tomorrow will be better.
