YAY!

A few weeks ago, a woman was walking her dog in a park not too far from my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.  A man smashed her head with a 20 pound (yes, 20 pound) rock and left her for dead, and stole her car.  Her dog ran to a house close by and barked at a man and got his attention.  The man followed the dog and found the woman, lying in a ditch with the rock covering her entire face.  The woman was still alive- but she was seriously injured.  The police found the man in North Olmsted, a city just outside of Cleveland.  The man has been arrested and is facing numerous charges.  The news hasn't reported on the woman's condition lately, so I assume she's alive still.  I pray for her every night.  Her dog's a hero, he saved her life!  Where she was left, no one may have found her for a long while.  Last week, my dad called me asking if my mom was at my house.  She wasn't.  SHe was almost 2 hours late coming home from work.  My dad and I began to worry because since she and my dad began dating 24 years ago (he's my step-dad), she has ALWAYS called to say she would be late and to let us know where she was going.  Turns out, she left a note for my dad that morning before leaving for work, stating that she would be home late because she was going to stop at her sister's house after work.  My dad didn't get the note- they later found it under the chair in the kitchen.  Today, my mom came by to drop off a few little things she bought for Jonathan and she brought me a cell phone.  My dad got one for her and one for me.  He wants us to keep them on us at all times, just in case we have an emergency.  He had already programmed his cell phone number into the phones.    Even at 26 years old, my daddy still protects me.  He still looks out for me, and tries to keep me safe.  Isn't it amazing how much a dad loves his children?  What's even MORE amazing is that he is technically my 'step-dad', and he loves me as if I were his biological daughter!  It's not just him buying me a cell phone that makes me feel loved- it's everything he does and has done since I was barely 2 years old.  He is my daddy, and I am daddy's baby girl.  I alway will be, even when I'm 100!  Yep- I'm loved!

I am so glad your Daddy has done that for you and your Mom! My Daddy is much the same way, when my ex hurt me, he was right there to protect me, and has all my life. No one hurts this baby (me), and now his grandson. I am so sorry for all the emotional, physcial, and mental you have been going through lately with Rob, I am wanting you to be safe each night i pray for you and Jonathan. anyhow, check out my new pics (in a while I will post them) on myspace of JT! :) ((hugs)) ~shelly&jt~

Dads are great, aren\'t they? I am a Daddy\'s Girl, too. He taught me everything I know about computers, helped me to learn how to do calculus problems when I was barely 6 years old!! I love him a lot. He is going through a rough patch. I just keep praying that things will soon get better for him.
