The doctor put me on some meds, and I'm OK...  Well, not mentally, but that's a WHOLE other subject...I'm just trying to get some rest right now.  Of course, Jonathan has other plans, and he doesn't think his mommy NEEDS to rest- apparently.  He seems louder than usual, and I am quickly losing my patience with him and his screaming.I found a new school for Jonathan, and it's only for autistic children.  So, the stbx and I are going to have to convince the school board that Jonathan is not getting the education he needs from the school district.  Which, he isn't.  But I don't know at they will see it that way.  The school is $50,000 a year, unless the district you live in cannot provide the services your child needs.  They can't.  He has made no progress since he started there, and his I.E.P. goals are not being met.  Not to mention his dietary needs and such.  This other school is close to where he works, about a 1/2 mile away, and he ould be in school from 9am to 2:30pm five days a week.  He would also have a P.T./O.T. there working with him 4 days a week.  The school he is at now only has one on staff 1 day a week, and she only spends about 5 minutes with each student.  Not enough for an autistic child to make any progress.  Also, he is in a class with only 2 other autistic children, and the rest of the kids have completely different learning disabilities, and 2 are deaf.  He needs something more concentrated on autism.  Plus, he's only there for 2½ hours a day, an there's too many kids in his class for him to get the individual time with the teacher that he needs. So, here comes yet ANOTHER roller coaster ride for me.  I'm so overwhemed with everything in my life- autism, divorce, doctors for my son, finding a job, lawyers, my parents...  But, I have to do what's best for Jonathan.  He is what I live for, and he is most important in my life.  I have to take care of his needs first, everything else falls into a distant 2nd place.Well, I'm going to take a nap and try to dream of a stress-free life, preferably one on a beach with lots of hot, MUTE, men catering to my every need....  *ahhh... how nice that would be...*

Sweetie, I know that all of those things are important to you, and well just important in general; however, don\'t overwhelm yourself. Take things ONE AT A TIME. I know that they are all urgent, but pick the most urgent and work on it one step at a time. That\'s how I\'ve gotten through this year and there were times when I had a million things I needed to do, but I just said to hell w/ them and dealt w/ things, one at a time. I know that sometimes to others it might have looked like I didn\'t care or do what I was supposed to be doing, but I don\'t care. I did what I needed to do to maintain my sanity.
For example, My family is catholic and my children aren\'t baptized because my husband didn\'t believe in baptism. Well I decided that I wanted to bapize my children and of course my mom was ecstatic. As soon as he died, my mom wanted me to focus on taht and while that\'s important to me, I just couldn\'t deal with all of that right then and there. So I put it off to the side and now I\'m working on getting them baptised, but it\'s on my time. I know that God is understanding my situation and my needs even if others don\'t understand. Take care and don\'t try to do everything all at once.
