I can't get on the computer much because this isn't my house or my computer, but I figured I'd update everyone on my situation.I'm doing GREAT! I can honestly say that I feel good. Relieved is maybe a better word? I'm happier than I've been in ages. It's been 24 hours now, and I have no desire to go back. I don't feel lonely- I was lonely THERE. The only thing I miss is having my own home. Now, I have to be extra quiet after 9:30pm, and today I wanted to go out for a bit and my mom got mad and said, "You better not be planning on going anywhere!" Suddenly I'm 16 instead of 26!!! I think she's really just worried because I have been sick for the past couple weeks and she wants me to get better. So, I am in a safe place. Rob isn't coming to get me. He doesn't really care. He says that he wants me to come home, but then when I stopped over there today to grab some more clothes, it was right back to the same old thing. He complained that he was hungry, and then got mad when I suggested that he take the car and run to the store and buy some milk. I told him I would cook him something to eat while I was there. He got so mad at the suggestion that he do something for himself!!! (yah, I know- big shocker there, right?) Before I went over there, I called him just to talk, and he said he didn't want to talk on the phone and that he wanted to talk in person. So, while I was on my there to get some more clothes, I called him to tell him I was on my way. He told me he was sorry for what he had done. Obviously, I didn't believe him (been there done that.). And, when I got there he couldn't even turn off that damn computer and look at me. He didn't want to talk at all. That's when I suggested that he go and buy some milk so I could make him a quick dinner. I was there all of 15 minutes before he was telling me to just leave again. And so I did.I talked to him again on the phone about this online game we play together called 'Runescape' and he told me that when I'm ready, he'll be right here (home) waiting for me. I didn't say anything other than goodbye. What can I say? I'm not going back to that. I've dicovered that I am happy now. It's only been 24 hours and I already feel better! Go back to what? He hasn't changed. People don't just change in 24 hours. I ended up having to call him yet again, because Jonathan wanted to say 'goodnight' to him. So, after Jonathan said good night to his dad, I talked to him for about 10 minutes. He asked when I was coming home, and FINALLY he listened without interruptions to what I had to say (or, at least I THINK he listened- he might not have, I couldn't see him through the phone LOL!). I told him that I would never come back unless he was seriously getting some type of help- and I told him that he would have to go to a group for sex and pornography addiction (a friend gave me the info- thanks Bobby!). ANd even then, that might not work. I would have to see proof that the porn is GONE for good, and the violence is gone. He would have to see a psyciatrist and a psycologist before I would even CONSIDER it. Sorry if I spelled those wrong lol!So- I see it like this: I made it through the first night without him, so I can CERTAINLY make it through another. And then another... And I really don't need him at all. It's just sad that I felt lonely when I was WITH him, and now I don't feel lonely at all!I could not have done this without my friends here on DS. All of you built me up and gave me the courage! I know it took 10-aqlmost-11 long months, but I DID IT!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!I've done the hardest part- getting out. Now, I just have to learn to be a single mom and make it on my own! I can do it though. I'm not stupid, and if I can survive 6 years with my husband, I can survive ANYTHING!!!*HUGS* to ALL of you! I wouldn't be here now if it weren't for all of you and your continuous support!

wonderful for you!!! im so so proud of you that you stood up for yourself and your babies. good luck girly and lean on me when you need.
Glad to hear you are doing so well, and that you are in a safe place. It really is kind of sad when you realize how alone you were in your own house with the man who was supposed to love you. I have been there too. Being \"alone\" and being lonely are two different things. :) Glad to see you standing up for yourself.
Wow I really came around at the tail end it seems.... Sorry bout that... I am very proud of what you have done. It is the smartest thing you could have ever done. It will turn out to be the best decision of yer life. I have my beliefs about things, but at least now there is hope. IF he goes for the help that is.
You are doing great...keep up the positive attitude. You will have your low moments but there are more higher momements ahead.
Melinda call some agencies and get some help. Trust me they are there to help...and think of it\'s better for Johnny and you to be out...good job about getting out!!
Melinda, i am so very happy, that you and Jonathan are safe, and happy. i am really proud of you my soulfriend, for making the very best decision for your\'s and Jonathan\'s future. a safe and happy future. :)
big hugs! :)
RELIEF your doing okay! You will slowly get back on your feet again, and thrive on your own. Like I have said many times, if you need to talk. you know where to reach me. take care dear friend and hugs to Jonathon and you ~shelly&jt~
you can do this i know you can. 2008 will be great for us! he needs you hon to baby him and mother him, you don\'t need him. you have already proven that to yourself! big hugs to you OSM! love ya!
you need to make a clean break, otherwise you will get sucked in again.
You really can do it girl...it won\'t be easy, I won\'t lie, being a single mom isn\'t always a piece of cake, but it will be a heck of a lot better than what you have been going through. stay strong and don\'t back down and I know it sucks not to be in your own home, and your mom will probably if she\'s anything like mine try to run your life a bit. However, I can assure you, your mother has nothing but yours and Jonathan\'s best interests at heart and after a while she will realize that you actually now what you\'re doing, that\'s how it\'s been for me. You can do it though and if you have your family\'s support and help then all the better. Take care sweetie and you know what don\'t overwhelm yourself, just take it one day at a time, you made it through one night you\'ll make it through one more day and so forth....take it easy. > and cheers to you!
