I got a little Christmas shopping done today. Walmart wasn't as packed as it usually is, so shopping was a breeze... I need some opinions from the guys and the girls here:My son has this baby doll that he loves. He takes it everywhere with him, and it even has it's own mini Graco carseat. So, while at the store last week, Jonathan saw a doll carseat and stroller combo thing. It was only $20, but I didn't buy it because Rob thought it was a bad idea. He thinks that we shouldn't support his playing with dolls. So, here's that I'm wondering- does it really matter? He's only 4, with a mental age of 2 years. The doll is his only friend. And even if he was a typical child, it doesn't matter to me whether or not he wants to play with dolls. He can play with whatever he wants. And, whether it's true or not that it means he will be gay as an adult, I couldn't care less. He is my son, no matter what he plays with or who he ends up loving as an adult. Does this make any sense? Basically, I think it's no big deal, and my husband is against it. Should I buy the stroller anyways? He really does want it, and I think it's his way of 'taking care' of his only friend.

Hello! My son & his girlfriend sound just like your hubby. Her dad is gay so they won`t let the boys play with dolls or wear any shade of pink. They threw a huge fit because I got my seven year old grandson an easy bake oven.I asked her if she loves her dad which she says yes so I asked if she loves him any less because hes gay.I don`t believe you make a child gay.Its great for boys to play daddy just as girls play with trucks & cars.As you might have guessed I say yes buy the stroller. You know what it will mean to Jonathan & the Hell with what others think LOL
By all means, buy him what he wants. He is who he is and that will never change, no matter what he plays with. If the stroller will make him feel good, then it\'s the right choice. You are a good mom, you love you son, and you do what\'s best for him. That is all that matters. Take care of the people you love the most. You are in my thoughts.
That\'s a tough one...because if you buy it for him it will most likely just cause problems with your idiot husband...although, I have to admit that I know of a lot of men who would not want their son to play with dolls or strollers..not that it\'s right ... it\'s just the way it is. Do whatever you think will keep the peace and make your son happy at the same time...you are both his parents and you both should make the decision. I would say to explain this to your husband...but sounds like he won\'t listen anyway. Sorry, not much help I guess.
No !!!!! Do not buy it. If your husband gets angry at your son for playing with dolls he may feel compelled to make a man of your son not to mention a punching bag of you for not obeying. please please be carefull. do not make you or your son a target.
