NEED HELP FROM ANY PARENTS OUT THERE, OR PEOPLE WHO HAVE SOME MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE!!!!Jonathan was vomiting on Sunday night. Monday he had a fever of 103º, and slept from 11am Monday morning until 10am Tuesday, only waking to go potty and to take a sip of water. Tuesday, he seemed 100% better. Wednesday, he seemed a little sluggish, and had a slightly runny nose. Today, he was coughing a little, and still had a runny nose. He went with me to the grocery store, and seemed fine. He had a can of speghetti-O's when we got home, and 20 minutes later, he vomited. He took a nap for 3 hours, and then woke up with a fever of 102º, vomiting again, and he has a spotty, itchy rash in patches all over his body. He also has a cough the sounds like a gator croaking (I wish there was a better way to describe it, but it doesn't sound like a typical cough) He had the chicken pox vaccine (against my wishes) about 2 years ago.Does anyone know what this could be? What can I do for him? Thanks for any advice I can get!

You get a rash with Strep throat but I don\'t remember my kids saying that it itched though. You might should take hime to the Dr and see if it\'s Strep. That\'s all I can think of for now, if I come up with something else I\'ll let you know.
If he is still vomiting get him to drink water, tea, pedialite... he needs I think the dr told me 5 table spoons every 30 minutes.
Sorry that I\'m not much help.
I just remembered when my daughter had kidney stones she was allergic to her pain meds and broke out in a rash. Has he eaten anything new? hmm that still doesn\'t explain the fever though.
My little boy Brett last year had something similar with a weird rash like you described and cough it was what the dr. in the er called a viral rash. It was a virus that came out in a rash on his body. It did go away after a few days. My little guy Sean has the same thing I think that your son has though, he was sick last Sunday and was vomiting with a fever, then it went to a runny nose, then as you know yesterday he came home sick from school, had a fever last night up to almost 104, vomited fever broke. He seems a little bit better today although he still has runny nose and cold. Chicken pox usually is around in the spring, but a little boy in my sons class just got them. You can still get chicken pox even with the vaccine. My girlfriends son had the vaccine and got a terrible case of the chicken pox last year. If his fever gets to high and you need piece of mind take him to the ER tonight and or have your pediatrican paged and speak with him or her. I feel your pain. If you need me I am here. Hugs Denise
It could be scarlettina -- mild scarlett fever which is strep with a rash. I had it in college. Nasty. Had mono then too. No vomiting though...
take him to the dr darling :)
Melinda, definitely take him to the doctor. my thoughts and prayers are with you all. god bless. big comforting hugs
There\'s lots going around, including this new super bug. definitely take him to the doctor\'s, to be safe.
