Our power went out for a few minutes this morning, but it's no big deal, I woke up when I heard the power come back on.  Exactly 6 am.  So, I stayed up to make sure that Rob got up for work since the clock needed ot be reset.  I woke him up at 6:30, not wanting him to be late for work, and he wanted me to take the car so that I can go to the grocery store, and wouldn't have to walk there.   We got onto I480, and then stopped.  Traffic was standing still.  A dump truck hit a road sign (one of those green ones that goes across the highway), and they had closed off 2 of the 4 lanes, so it go backed up for miles.  And, of course- this just had to be the ONE morning when I forgot the cell phone!  So, there we were, stuck in traffic.  I was so happy this morning because we got out the door on time, and he wasn't going to be late- and we got stuck in traffic!  LOL!  We got to his job, and I started to drive away.  Then, I heard Rob call to me.  I put the car in park, and his boss came walking up.  He said, "Look, Melinda- if you're going to take Rob to work, then you have to get him here on time."  I'm freakin' out because I didn't drive him, he drove, and because there was nothing we could do about traffic.  He didn't get to work until 7:45, and he was supposed to be there at 7.  Then I noticed Rob's face.  He was trying so hard not to laugh!  (He told me I looked like I wanted to cry!!)  His boss joked with me for a minute, and then asked me to come inside because he had something for me.  I went inside and followed them inside to the office.  He gave me a package of bagels, and 2 boxes of donuts- one for us, and one to give to my parents.  Jim is like that.  He is always giving us something.  He is so nice, which is why I freaked out when he was pretending to be mad at me.
