Lots to do today...  And a fish ran away last night.  We feed them frozen brine shrimp, along with other things.  I was filling a cup with tank water to thaw the food in, and the saltwater cats and the clownfish were all swimming around the way they do when they're hungry.  I came back to pour the food in, and the male saltwater cat was gone!  We looked all around the tank, but he was no where to be found.  The lids on the tank weren't open, and he was there one minute, and gone the next!  It's so odd...  What's worse is the he just abandoned his wife- she's pregnant and should be ready to have their many babies any day now smiley-cry.gif

ok yah- it's weird that a fish ran away, but if you have any other suggestions as to where our A.W.O.L. fish could be, I'd love to hear it!  Feel free to post any funny stories that you can think of.  Did he run off with the queen angel fish?  Why did he leave his pregnant wife?

Is this like the praying mantis. The male Impregnates her and then she eats him ? Tough life for a bug or a fish !!!

I once had a missing fish who had managed to swim into a little ceramic castle. It couldn\'t back out. It was half dead when I found it on cleaning day. I had assumed the cat got it. Poor thing was stuck. His tank mate had been swimming back and forth furiously for days. I thought it was trauma or grief -- nope, the free one knew where the trapped one was.
