Grocery shopping with my husband last night proved to be stressful. WE have been married going on 17 years. This means 17 years of giving in to his nonfood issues. So i decided to look at the labels and compare fat versus calories. Looking for lowfat. I chose a box of shredded wheat 100%whole grain. He saw the Cap n. Crunch on sale, I said we shouldn't buy that one because of the sugar content and it is not a healthy choice, He said what ever you like. I know that he won't eat the cereal. Here is my delimma breaking 17 years of high sugar, fat, sodium, junk... He wants me to be healthy and he worries about my health, but on the same time he wants what he wants. The simple issue is let him have it, but my will power wavers and I need to look out for my children. My wieght problem is the beginning of theirs. I need to stick to my guns and quit feeling like I am cheating him/ them. This is so hard for me. I need this badly to be the last time of the starting over and giving up cycle. I don't even know where I am going with this, but I do know that I hate feeling like The money is controlling the food choices or the attitutde from not buying junk that everyone likes. My reality and theirs depends on me being stronger, wiser, and healthier. Because if not I may not be here to see my children grow up and my husband grow old. My victory breakfast was a measured serving of the Cereal and dang it, it was great.

Well weigh in tonight. I stayed the same and I am thrilled. Overall I feel like I did well with my food choices and I didnot cave into bad food selection during break at college tonight. I bought a BANANA and uce tea and I was happy with my choice. Here is for tomorrow and new day and new choices.
