Yeah,
I had a feeling. I went to see my gyn and asked him right out what to do if I am having one of the emergency episodes and he told me that I should call the other doctor. That we should be trying to call the other doctor and seeing what happens. That this is the job of the pain manager and he could get into trouble by giving me narcotic meds all the time. He has been doing it since 1998, what is new now. I mean he gets letters from my insurance company asking why he does this and then he writes back explaining that this is what I need.

I feel DUMPED! Blah, blah blah. We know this pain is gyn related. Now we are going to start treating just the symptom and not the issue?

He said I could call if the other guy wasn't around.

DUMPED! How I feel. And very sad, like my dog just died. Like I lost my best friend. I basically have. I hope he is still there when we discover that things like surgery or ultra sounds need to be done.

I just really feel sad. Like I am sliding back down into that bad hell again. Oh no.

I dunno, I can almost see this doc anticipating the emergency to be mainly a pain issue, in which case he would be the guy to go to. He would be there if needed but largely there would be a need to alleviate your pain before anything else can be done.

After you explained to him a few weeks ago how much you trust him, he has an appreciation for your feeling about all that.

Has anyone come up with alternatives, yet, to address the problems?
