Finally
It took a few days, but we finally have some hope. I have been noticing that Ed's hand and chin are barely tremoring this evening. This gives me hope that he may be able to return to a semi normal life eventually. Even his temperament has improved greatly. His meds were increased in dosage and he was given a time release Sinemet. I am so hopeful now. I hope more of you can find a good balance with your medical problems and the meds that are prescribed and the problems of your illnesses. I actually praise God for the new signs. Love to you all.

Ed is sleeping much better so as a caregiver I am getting more sleep too. He can get up in the middle of the night and not have to stay up a long time. I guess his Sinemet time release is working now. WE have had some trouble getting him the right dosage of meds. His tremors are still bad at times, yet at other times he hardly has any tremors. I am just happy that he is getting some sleep now.
Today is going to be a busy day and I am not up to doing a lot of walking, however I do not have a choice. WE are going to see if we can get Ed\'s copays lowered. He is on a county program until he reaches Medicare age. It involves a lot of walking and so far this morning my walking muscles are not working well. I will force myself to go as he has trouble hearing people talking and with his Parkinson\'s I am afraid to let him go anywhere alone. Also it is our 14th Anniversary so I am going to find a way to enjoy every moment of the day. Have a great day everyone.
I am sad because we did not get any help with Ed\'s medical expenses, but we were told that in January when the laws change then we should qualify for state aid. I sure hope so. It is hard to take bad news when you have your hopes up so high that things will change and then they don\'t. We wasted a long 2 busses and a lot of walking.
We did however go to Chinese for our anniversary. That was nice. Then we came home and Ed went to take a nap. AT least he can take a nap now.
Also I got an email form someone at the church I attend that says he is compiling a lot of information for me on Parkinson\'s and caretakers of Parkinson\'s patients. He takes care of his wife who has Parkinson\'s. He won\'t be at church this week, but will give me the info next week. I guess the day was not all a loss.
Also got information from someone I have not heard from in a long time about reducing the cost of meds and free transportation to medical appointments. I guess I don\'t feel so bad anymore.
