This and That

Well darn it all, how did Sept get here so fast!
Life is coasting along for the most part.  My overall wellness has been a bit up and down for a while now.  It seems like I'm feeling good & balanced then boom the scale tips & then tips back to good again.  I know it's the way Lupus can go but it sure would be nice to get some advance warning before a down period.  I do wonder sosmetimes that now that summer is drawing to a close & one's life style gets a bit more routine if that might help, so we'll see.
I'll be going back to yoga every Thurs morning.  I never thought I'd quite connect to yoga that much but for my overall wellness it's such a good fit.  So I'll do the gym one day & yoga the other day & that will be my exercise routine for the week.
I'm seeing a gastro specialist on the 21st.  I had those episodes with a UT infection which my dr felt might have gone to the colon also.  The antibiotics did help & I felt good for quite a while but I've had abt a wk now where I just don't know.  I still find that after all these yrs with lupus I still can't always tell whats a lupus thing and whats something else to potentially worry abt.  Praying and focusing on logical easy answers on the 21st.
Hubby & his nosebleeds really were troublesome to deal with.  They were happening 3 to 4 times a day almost every day & man, talk abt feeling like a prisoner, he was rightfully scared to go anywhere.  We went to our GP who said he really couldn't do much, it was tied in with being on oxygen.  So one morning it got the better of us & we went to our nearby hospitals ER.  Yippee they were able to catarize it.  They did confirm that being on oxygen can contribute to that problem.  So what he's doing for a while now is when he's just at home reading or not doing much he only uses the oxygen in the other nostril.  We're working this out step by step.
I've signed up for a one evening seminar on Minfulness which is being aware of the connection between your physical body & your heart, mind & spirit.  It will go into the meditation aspect also, should be cool I think.
There's a gluten free baking course day in October.  I haven't registered for that but I'm thinking it would be a good way to get an update on the flours and ways of baking with all the new stuff thats coming out.
You know, my reflexologist had said I was falling into the trap of just closing off fr life, it's so much easier just not to have to try, does that make sense to anyone.  But it was true, it was felling like it was so easy just not to try.  She gave me strict homework a month ago that I was to pick a couple things to attend & not come up with some excuse why I can't.  So I've got the seminar & the baking class.  I'm glad I did but there's still that part of me that just wants to sigh & say lets just stay lazy & tucked away - BUT NOT!
So I guess thats abt the main stuff for now.
I love & appreciate all the thoughts & comments fr my friends.

Good to catch up, Kitty. So sorry your lupus affects your life with all the ups and downs, can imagine how hard it is. Congrats on your yoga and fitness classes, you\'re inspiring me, think I\'ll try zumba 1 night a week..that feeling when you\'re finished and have done \'your body good\' is wonderful. Glad they helped with hubbies nose bleeds and your plan to reduce the oxygen, see how that goes. I\'d be a prisoner too, scary. The baking sounds fun, I hear all about gluten everywhere, good luck, send any baking my way for testing. Yes, what your reflexologist said makes sense, especially when life seems like an uphill battle but I\'m very proud that you\'ve done your homework!!! Keep doing it and you\'ll amaze yourself. Keep pushing yourself as hibernation season approaches, it\'s harder to get out, me included ... HUGS
