BLAH!!!!

Well it's 7:15 am here.  I've been awake since abt 2 am.  I'm in a horrible non sleep pattern right now.  I know luupus & sleep don't get along very well at the best of times but this is the worst it's ever been for me & my days are being affected horribly.  I was reading up on Melatonin but it doesn't sound like it's a wise idea when living with lupus.  Any of my friends have any old secret family recipes that might help.
Life's been weird lately.  I pride myself on being well connected to life, fairly balanced, etc etc.  I've had some mood swings lately.  Right now I feel like waving a white flag just saying OK world I give up.  Maybe the overall fatigue is talking right now so maybe I shd just keep my mouth zipped.
Hubby's doing fairly well most days.  As one knows with any chronic conditions he has flair days too & I do my best to encourage him thru them.  Dec he goes for another hormone therapy injection.  They've been rougher on hin this last session.  But you know we both try to focus on just doing the best we can with the day thats presented to us.
Got our 1st snow last night.  I really don't want to see it this yr.  My squirrels are quite beside themselves abt the whole thing.  The birds are really fighting for space at the feeder also.  My fav moments are in the evening when I go out to check the feeder & the chickadees will come & land on the branches  beside where I'm standing.  They twitter away to me & those moments are so precious somehow.
Anyhow I so need a cup of coffee & stop my squirrels fr fighting.  I'm positive I had a couple other things I wanted to talk abt it but it's gone fr my sleepy brain right now.
I so love all who are taking the time to read my babbling here.  Thanks fr the bottom of my heart.

First of all have you ever tried ALEVE PM? I use them when I can\'t sleep, it works for me , all those OTC medicines have sleep aid. Maybe
one would help you.

When life gets us down God can turn it on the right side. I know you pray and that is the only thing I can suggest . I know he hears us and promises to help us , some times it\'s not as fast as we would like it to be. But God will take care you.
We have not had any snow yet , not looking forward to either. All the leaves on my tree are blown away and the view is not so nice now. Maybe the snow will make it look better.
Awe those cold little birdies..did they forget to fly south?
I do wish you a day that will make you sleepy, happy and hungry .. Love you forever, Frieda

Lack of sleep makes everything much worse. I wish I could give you sleep advice, other than be active and white noise when you sleep. I love that your chicadees come visit when you\'re out at their feeders, they are such trusting lil critters, what kind of seed do you give them? Our first snow is expected tomorrow, pfffttt, guess it is November, so it\'s time, huh? Love and hugs Kitty, know that you\'re in my thoughts and prayers. Good to hear from you, as always. xxoo

Well now, this is a bummer to hear about your sleep. I\'ve been in a similar mood swing, give-up slump, but I know these will pass for both of us. I am pretty confident about that! The thing that helps me most with zonky sleep troubles is ... going to sound really basic (sorry) ... fresh air/exercise and then lavender at bedtime. Surprising how much the lavender helps. Even just something like lavender bath gel and a few drops of l. oil on my pillow can change the sleep pattern. Also, simple benaryl at bedtime helps a lot. I don\'t do that often, but maybe one tablet once very 2 weeks is enough to get my sleep pattern on the right track. My rheumy said that was the most non-toxic sleep aid and even less so than tylenol pm, so I feel OK about that.

I think this early winter weather has a bad effect on us. I find it super depressing. I felt gypped out of a summer and a fall b/c of bad weather and also too much work, so this cold wind feels like a slap in the face! I try to just enjoy each season for what it is, but this year I am really struggling with that concept lol. I hope you are feeling better now and in a better grove. prayers and love! m
