?????????
Wow, where do I begin.
Hhmmm, around the end of Sept., hubby came down with a cold/flu bug & I did everything I possibly could to stay away fr him, avoid touching surfaces, sterilizing, etc. etc. & darn it all I got it any way - isn't that sweet of him. Surprisingly he has seemed to bounce back fr it faster then me. I've got this ear thing going on that I can't seem to get a handle on. Abt a wk ago now things got so bad that as long as I just stayed vertical & didn't move I was fine. When I was laying down & tried to sit up and/or turn over I had horrible nausea problems. Well things just way out of control & I ended up in the hospital for a few hrs one night so they could stabilize me. I did a not nice thing yesterday morning & stepped on the scale - I lost a few more lbs & am now 119. I'm in no way being funny abt this, it's not good for me & I'm starting to look like I'm an eating disorder person. I see my diabetes dr in Nov & he's going to freak out. I feel like I just can't quite regroup myself properly. I think I need to get back to my weekly meditation times & a few other personal treats that really were special me things.
Hubby is half way thru his pulmonary rehab course. I've been attending with him. There is 1 hr of class time & 1 hr of gym time with exercises geared to what he is capable of at this time. The Respiratory Therapist in charge of the course told us last wk that she is submitting a request to our dr that he shd be started on a home oxygen program. A good thing is we're not getting all bent out of shape abt it, we're willing just to keep going forward in faith & tackle some reshaping of our daily lives as might need be. I know he sometimes feels like he's getting pretty useless but we spent some time talking this a.m. before church & I told him so many little ways that he still can be a big help around the house & in helping with meals. I told him the huge main way that he pays me back in all this is that he very seldom denies me spending some money on me, be it for some of my fav skin care products or clothing or gluten free food treats. So when I stop & ponder this I think there's still a good balance in our house.
Oh yea - I scored at a thrift store yesterday. I got myself a pair of beige cord pants with a brown white & beige long sleeve knit top & a rust colored sweater. They are all major store names & I paid just $24. I don't want to spend big store prices right now cause "when" I gain weight I can go back to my regular clothes but geez a girl's gotta buy some clothes right!
We're really not sure if Pepper is significantly improving. There are signs of him being fairly active & alert, etc. etc., but there just doesn't seem to be the weight gain that I thought I'd see by now. We're keeping a pretty close eye on him & we've both agreed that if he takes a turn for the worse, no more drugs, we'll send him to heaven to see Callie. We will at least know we tried.
We got a teaser of a few snow flakes this afternoon. I'm so so not ready for winter till at least in November sometime. Actually in a perfect world it can snow say a wk before Christmas & then melt by the middle of January LOL. Not asking much am I.
Well I think I'll sign off for now. I so look forward to the feedback I get fr my friends here. Love ya all!!!

That inner ear thing, not fun! I had this imbalance years ago (labryinthitis or something) and I just had to lay down for days and let it run it\'s course. Good news for your DH on his rehab and glad that you can go with him. You have a great relationship with your fella, you deserve each other :)....
SCORE! I\'ll say, I also am not a snob and will shop there and get great deals! We give our new stuff away to these places so it\'s \'new to you\'...that works! Smart not to spend alot of $$ until you get to your goal weight.
Hope Pepper does okay...slow and steady but you have a plan and are doing everything you can.
Keep the snow, we might see some later this week (AGRRRRGH!) I\'m like you, snow on Christmas eve, melt by Jan 2, perfect.
Good to catch up with you, Kitty. xxoo
I can\'t really tell from your entry if you are feeling better though. I do hope so! Ear issues are just so not fun ... it can really affect your entire day/night and it can be hard to get comfortable. I hope that passes for you. It sounds like you are doing everything right and I pray that God blesses you and hubby with good health and well being. I am glad you are finding some good balance in your home and enjoying some shopping. Score! yay! haha
I am also not ready for winter. I\'ve made myself a promise that if it is a nice day I am going to take a work break and hike, just to feel like I\'m not all shut in and then, bam, winter keeps me indoors. I worry about hiking on icy streets and so on. ugh.
Hope Pepper makes a turn for the better. I know how stressful that can be. I think it is high time for some breakthroughs at your house my friend. I pray God heaps blessings on your home! ; )
I hope you are feeling better with your inner ear issues. So not fun. They poured water in my ears with my balance tests and one ear is still popping. I am glad your husband is doing better. Your relationship seems so loving and kind.
As you know I love thrift store finds! I once got an Eddie Bauer lined dress for $6.00 and my daughter gets those crazy expensive hand bags for pennies on the dollar.
I\'m sorry about your Pepper. My old cat Possum is 10. I recently learned that is 60 in human years. Now I feel bad for bringing a wild puppy into the house, no wonder she is always clobbering her.
It\'s snowed in the mountains here but not the valley yet, nothing sticking anyway. The fall colors are so beautiful, one of my favorite seasons. I never hope it snows as it will and it will and it will.
Love to you always Kitty. I\'ll try and lose some weight so maybe it\'ll find you :)
