Stuff

Finally have my surgery set & scheduled.
To review.  I had phoned once a short while back & they did not have the Apr schedule yet so fine let it be at that.  It's hard to try & keep my life in a good balance when the gall bladder attacks, well, attack at a moments notice.  Something spurred me to phone just yesterday.  I spoke with a staff there, explained some things.  She confirmed that for Dr. Lipschitz I'd be looking at May sometime, YIKES I thought I really doubt my strength & fortitude to go that long.  Then she all of a sudden says that they need someone to fill a spot on Tues but that it was with the other surgeon Dr. McKai & would I be willing to go with the other surgeon.  They would have to get approval fr my original surgeon.  Wow did that throw me off for a moment.  So when all was said & done I'm not scheduled for Tues at abt 1:30 p.m.  I went for my pre op tests today & see the surgeon & Anasthesologist on Mon a.m.  It was confirmed that due to my other health conditions they will be keeping me a few days as a precaution.
Whats funny right today though is it's like reality is staring me in the face & I'm having moments where I'm a bit scared I guess, weird huh, since I've wanted this painful thing to be taken care of.
Saw my rheumotologist this a.m. also.  Lupus wise it's finally a time where I'm afraid he's a bit lost abt me somehow.  He questioned me & examined almost my whole body.  As I'm rashing pretty much everywhere I showed him which areas were older, newer, etc. etc.  You could tell he was a bit lost.  I've been back on the methorexate for a while now.  We confirmed that I've tried a few comparable drugs in the past & well it was a no go for various reasons.  We confirmed that the only thing left was the chemo drug Cyclafosamide.  I told him that although I know I handled it reasonably well the last time, was hoping not to have to revisit that.  He too agreed as like he said although I didn't experience any post chemo drug things there is always implications down the road & seen as I'm prone to lower intestinal & bowel issues he did not want to have to go there.  He did feel that at this time I might just have to live with the rash issues & we'll find a way to deal with it.
Of course as we all know regular dr's don't always believe in say alternative and/or naturopath type stuff so I really couldn't get him to see that I can make this right through the guidance of my reflexologist(Nadia) and diet transformations.  When I'm having my treatment she says that she can never pick up serious physical organ related issues other then the gall bladder right now.  She seriously wonders if the rash thing is my body's way of releasing the medical stress.  So we'll see right.  I trust her totally & she's never lead me down a wrong road.
Kitty shelter news.  We've had a few good adoptions lately & one unbelievaable one coming on Friday.  Some might remember my story abt a cat called Blossom (there's a pic of her in my pics) who's been a shelter cat for abt 10 yrs.  She was feral at one point, no one could get near her, but she so seriously bonded with me mainly (she'll follow me around, stare at me & chatter away) & then my hubby & the other woman.  Well she also has decided to accept a young male volunteer who works Fridays & he's taking her.  I was so totally thrilled yet I don't understand why I feel so sad abt it.  When we left on Wed I went to check on her, gave her a kiss, told her how happy I was for her & hoped she'd enjoy life like never before.   She came to me, rubbed all around me, chattered away.  Can't understand why I'm happy but so sad?????
All else in life is pretty much rolling along, nothing much to update on.  One day I'm thinking we might actually see spring here, gee whiz mother nature.
Take good care all my dear friends.  I'll check in sometime on Monday.

Wow, that is some news! I pray that all goes perfectly with the surgery and who knows, maybe it will solve this rash mystery also? I\'ve tried to stop talking to docs about my alternative methods ... they are just dopes about it. If I do have to share, I say it matter of factly like I was talking about the weather or something. I sort of let them know I don\'t care what they think about the alternative stuff (they don\'t get a vote LOL).

Maybe you are sad about Blossom just because it is a change for her and for you. Do you feel like you can\'t visit her at her new home? It does seem wonderful that he is taking her home though! I think you\'ll feel better after some time passes.

We don\'t have spring down here either. This morning it was 16 degrees and yesterday it was snowing. It is de-pressing!

But, I am happy and excited for you. Please keep us posted!

When\'s your surgery? Please let me know...again, I\'m in your pocket and you\'ll be so much better when it\'s over....

I think you\'ve bonded with Blossom and she\'s part of your visit and part of your life and you\'ll miss her. What\'s nice is that you can still hear about her through the volunteer, so you won\'t be totally disconnected. Wonderful news for her forever home .... yay Blossom! I think we just may have spring here, finally. It was around 13C with April showers today, good to wash away all that winter dirt and yuck away..... Thinking of you, K.... load of hugs and love.
