Stuff
Feel uptight today somehow, on edge a bit & can't figure it out. I can figure out though the effect it has on lupus symptoms fast enough, gee whiz.
Well onward & upward right. Hubby & I had our 25th anniversary on Feb 6th. We were having coffee & breakfast & were each joking abt having put with each other that long. It was all in good spirits though. We didn't do anything yet but I know we'll plan something down the road a bit.
We're both in the middle of major denturist work. He's having a new top & bottom plate done & I've finally taken the step to have a bottom partial done. After I had to have that tooth removed which was just too close to the center I knew it was time.
I've got my consult appt with the surgeon for my gall bladder issue on Mar 5th. I truly thought I'd wait much longer then I am so I'm thinking my gastro dr must have tried to put an ASAP on it maybe because my health is compromised with diabetes, lupus & celiacs. But I'm still so anxious to get this settled. I'm keeping all triggers out of my diet which means I'm missing out on half the foods I love but after having a few gb attacks it's sort of worth it. I so miss my stews & chili's & things but hopefully down the road I can re-establish a healthy balanced diet again.
One thing that keeps bothering/haunting my thoughts is the fact that my gastro dr wants an ultrasound of my liver area. I thought somewhere along the line the word calcification had come up but yet he also felt he just wanted to be sure all is still OK. So this kept the nasty word "Methotrexate" flashing before my eyes. I'm been doing my own experiment for abt a month now & have not been taking my wkly dose. Things are not going as well as I felt I could be doing. Have been symptomatic steadily off & on. The major having been the rash breakouts. I think I'll be scratching my skin off soon sometimes. Some swelling issues in my hands & knees. But, in all honesty I'm spooked abt the methotrexate & really don't know what I shd do-totally confused on this point. My main way of thinking is darn it all I'm stronger then all this but then those darn negative thoughts fight there way in.
Hubby is doing quite well most of the time. We really do try to support & lean on each other but I know it's hard for him to really grasp the war going on inside me at times.
I take time to turn it over to the Lord, to pray that he'll guide me thru to better days. I do wish though that if he felt I'm going abt this the wrong way that he'll intervene.
Anyway I think I'm starting to babble here so it's maybe time to sign off for now.
Oh, Rusters, we've got this young kitten at the shelter who looks so much like your Scooter. He is a fun loving, affectionate, wonderful little guy & I think of you & Scooter all the time when I take time to hold him. He's got such a sparkle abt him somehow. Maybe I shd take a pic if I have the chance & post it.
Love to each & everyone one of you.

Hi Kitty,
MY, Thoughts And Prayers Will Be With
You As You Go Through This Upcoming Surgery.
Love Ya, ~Barbara
Hi Kitty, maybe the liver ultrasound is for your GB as the GB is so close? Get it out. I honestly have had no problems adjusting to foods, and it\'s now 4 weeks since my surgery. But eating lower fat, higher fiber and healthier works.
Congratulations on your 25th! Seems like a \'Long Service Award\' is called for here LOL....hope you do something nice when the weather\'s better and you\'re good with your teeth to enjoy a good steak out!
No, we are supposed to babble here, vent, yell...it\'s all good, it\'s such a safe place. DS is my therapy, personally.
Scooter look-alike? Oh yes, picture please! There\'s something about orange and white cats and their loving, affectionate tempermants. My Rusty was a wonderful cat (miss him every day, even after 3.5 years)
XXOO love you!
Congrats on 25 years together. In this day and age it is quite the accomplishment.
Peace love and joy to you
Beth
I also had an ultrasound with my GB surgery. I know my doctor did mine to scan for any blockages leading into the GB from the liver.
I will be praying for you and know you will feel so much better.
Congratulations on your \'Service Award\' (that was funny:)
Take good care, much love my friend
Teisha
