Stuff
Well life has gotten a bit interesting.
A while back I'd rec'd a request fr our provincial vehicle registration/insurance (Autopac) folks that I'm due for my drivers license physical. Because of my diabetes I usually have to have one abt every 5 yrs or so. So I got an appt with my GP on Fri the 11th & went & he filled out the form, all except for the vision part which he said I'd need to see the appropriate people abt. I'd been told I could go to any Autopac service center & they can take care of that part. So we stopped at one that morning on our way home. Well I failed miserably!!!!! The guy sat back, looked at me & asked when was the last time I had my eyes checked. I told him because of my health issues I go every May all the time. He said I'd better see my eye specialist & then come back. I've got till Jan 31st & then he said otherwise they'll have to cancel my license.
Well I can tell you, didn't that just put a twist on life. I called my eye specialist & they said if I could come down at 9 a.m. the next morning he'd see me. Right o I'll be there with bells on so I went. He said my eyes have indeed changed alot & I needed weaker glasses, yes, weaker. I didn't realize that for alot of people as they age your vision can improve. I did need some major adjustments in the bifocal part. OK, then I booted it over to where I get glasses fr. They are going to do everything in their power to fast track this for me so I can get back to autopac by the 31st. In the mean time hubby & I decided that it would be better if I didn't drive. Our thinking being that, yes I'm very careful, etc. etc. but all it takes is for someone else to hit me & then when all the police reports & autopac reports are being done it comes out that my file is red flagged due to vision issues & the other person sues me to the end of the earth. Not worth it I think. So I'm a bit of edge till I get this cleared up but I can feel that the Lord is staying close to me & this is where I'm meant to be right now.
OK, to put the icing on the cake I broke a capped tooth off right at the gum line. It's on the bottom too close to the center to let it be so off to the dentist I went. Of course it can't be saved & he had to pull the rest of it. Man on man I never realized that bottom center teeth have roots that go clear thru to China. I can say it was a bit painful & still is kind of not totally better. We reviewed some options & the inevitable in life has arrived. I'm going to get a partial plate on the bottom. I've had back teeth pulled over the yrs on both sides & now with this, not getting any better. If anything because I've got no chewing teeth on the bottom it's been putting more pressure on the front. So now I'll have this process to go thru. If nothing else it will be quite an experience I think.
But, hey, as of this morning I've gained two pounds back. That was a nice surprise & will make my dr's happy I'm thinking.
I think I'll sign off for now. I'm getting tired even just keying in the events of the last while.
I so love you all & I so look forward to always hearing your thoughts & feelings.
Take care everyone.

Hello, dear precious friend, You sure had a lot of stuff to do to get your license, eye doctor, and then your dental appointments on top of that, but its good to get stuff that\'s necessary done and out of the way. Hope your mouth is feeling better now.
Brrrr. Your weather is even colder than mine. I hope we both stay warm and comfy till Spring comes again. Hooray!
