I figured it was time I did an entry here if for nothing more then general update information. I sort of went thru a rough patch for a brief time but from what I've learned here with Lupus it goes with the territory.  I haven't ruled out that the holidays could of had something to do with, that & hubby's situation, could of caught up with me finally.  But it was nothing too serious & I was able to fight back pretty darn good. The only pain the butt trouble I've had is dry dry dry skin.  I'm talking like Sahara Desert dry.  My lips in the corners were actually cracked open.  It hurt to have to open my mouth too wide.  That & my almost scaling off skin, I gave dry a whole new definition. If anyone has any information on lotions and/or lip products or secrets you found that worked please feel free to let me know as I'm almost willing to try anything. Well onto something else - hubby only had to wear a catheter & bag for a week, granted it was over the holidays but still.  Now we keep on fighting & see how things go when we see the dr on Jan 22nd.  I just wish the negative gloom wouldn't keep trying to take center stage here, do you know I almost have moments where I've found it hard to pray & that somehow really bothers me. I thought there was something else I wanted to chat abt here but for the life of me I can't seem to recall, oh well. Oh yea, I'm posting a few pictures of the cat shelter I work at in addition to some of my family in case anyone wants to take a look. Love you all my friends.

I am happy to hear that mel doesn\'t have to wear that thing any more.. Good news.. No about your skin problem.. I would call the drug store and ask the pharmasist what he suggest to use. They are preet smart about alot of things. My skin gets dry but not like that I use NIVEA or Johnson\'s baby lotion. I just love the smell of it. I am going to go look at your pictures. Thanks for posting them. I am praying all things will work out for both of you. Your always on my mind and always with me. Love Pat..

I don\'t know how I missed this one! and you see doctor with hubby tomorrow! hope all goes well. you mentioned the dry skin ... don\'t know if this will help but I have labeled it a semi-miracle in a tube lol ... Aquafor. It looks like a tube of vaseline. Blue and white I think, about a 6 ounce tube. It is very emolient and very good at aiding in healing. I used it on my son when he had any kind of sore and it seemed like overnight, it was gone. Please keep us posted OK?
