Well I had me 2nd accupuncture treatment for my wrists. It really does seem to be helping, but, heres the dilemma.

Last I saw my reflexologist & I told him abt the burning sensation in my wrists he stated that in chinese medicine that signifies issues with the liver. So after much careful though & talk with him I decided to try going off my wkly methotrexate injections for a while & sure enough the wrist thing did improve.

So I don't know if it's one or the other of the above or a mixture of both, but I do know it feels so good to have my wrists almost totally normal.

Now I'd like to know how and the heck do I convince my rheumy of this. Could be interesting.

Take care for now everyone.

oh that is interesting. hmmmm. you know when I went off my mtx for a while, it took 6 weeks to feel the effects of that. well, actually it took about 3-4 weeks for the good stuff to happen (more energy) and 5-6 weeks for the pain to come back. but mine werent\' injections, they were tablets.

anyway, I am happy that you don\'t have the burning pain anymore. you are right your rheumy might be upset. she probably won\'t be open to alternative teatments, mine *never* are. OK, so I have a question. Is the issue with the liver being reflected in the wrists because of the *burning* or just pain there in general or what?

your rheumy will probably want to run tests on your liver. was he/she already doing that every few weeks?
