OK now I know for sure I'm really a bit strange or too soft hearted or wacky or something.   I was just watching our evening news on TV and for several years in downtown Winnipeg we've had a Peregrin Falcon who nests on this outcrop area of one of our larger sort of skyscrapers.  The forestry people always keep a close eye on her as their numbers are not doing too well. Well we've had some intense rain the last 24 or so hrs and in keeping with the gov keeping an eye on her I guess they figured they'd better go up & check as that ledge area gathered moisture pretty easily.  Well they were too late and lost all 3 chicks.  Poor mommy now has nothing. So somebody tell me if I'm totally loonie to be emotionally bothered by something like this.
