I dont know how to explain this w/o coming right out and saying it, but I cant. My husband works in a job where I cant give particulars.. and we had a VERY stressful day. VERY... and what do I do when I'm stressed??? Yeah, you guessed it. So, I ate really reasonably all day, I was proud of that. But tonight we got to the grocery store late, and had a whirlwind of a day, and by the time we got out of the store it was REALLY late and I was not up for cooking dinner. (lame excuse, I know). So, we grabbed BK. Did I choose a healthy option??? OHHHHH nooooo. I got a Whopper, and fries, and a Coke.. I have NEVER finished a Whopper before, I just cant eat that much, so I dont even know why I ordered it. So I didnt eat the whole thing, but I ate enough, lets just say that. And if I could have licked the french fry container I would have, it was sick (they are my greatest weekness). I didnt drink the Coke. I've gone so long w/o soda that it doesnt even taste good anymore. The burger tasted like dead animal and grease.. I actually craved something healthier. It made me regret not taking the extra ten minutes to make my stir fry I had planned for dinner. I guess it was a wasted day. But, I bought a treadmill today, and stocked my fridge and pantry with healthy foods and snacks. I plan on attacking this night eating problem head on. I am a bit dissapointed in myself, but now I'm thinking it may have been good to get it out of my system because all the food tasted like crap. I dont see myself craving it again anytime soon. I hope I didnt let my girls down. I try to pump other up and forget to pump myself up. Maybe I need to start preparing food for the week ahead on the weekends so I wont flake out on cooking on late nights?? Yeah, I think I'll do that. Better luck tomorrow I hope!

hey you don\'t even realize what progress you have made. You ordered a whopper and it didn\'t taste good!! it\'s happening girl, you are becoming a health conscious person. Everyone loves fries, I\'m a vegetarian and thank the chip god everyday that those tasty golden stix were ever invented. i also cook at a hospital and we have fries some days ( and thats for our patients, dr. orders) one thing at a time. one pound at a time one mile on the treadmill at a time and the occasional fry at a time. Have an apple, start fresh tommorow.
You will get there. You bought a treadmill and stocked your house wiht healthy foods. You are picking up and moving on, that is so important! Small changes are important. Don\'t be so hard on yourself.
You didn\'t eat it all. That\'s great!! Get a good night\'s sleep and start fresh in the morning!!
hey that\'s awesome...you\'re totally on the right track...healthy food options and exercise..way to go! And i know what you mean about the fast food- once you stay away from it for a period of time..it tastes worse than it did before! good luck you can do it.
Now Mrs. Barker..... did you not read my post last week about when I went to BK... and I did order something healthy... and I should have ordered a whopper. My chicken sandwich was almost double the points of a whopper, so don\'t assume that b/c you ate the burger it was a bad choice. And as far as you letting any of us down, you didn\'t!!! Don\'t you think it would be harder for us all if there were only 1 person who never, ever failed. That would be so bad. All these ppl talking about I wanted chocolate so bad today I ran to the store and bought a hershey\'s, and then just one person who was like ohhhh when I want chocolate I just eat a carrot stick and pretend..... who would want that in their support group...LOL, if I want chocolate, I\'m gonna eat it!! And just because you plan your meals out doesn\'t mean that you\'re gonna follow them. I\'ve been planning my meals out for an entire year, and honestly I can say that probably only 75% of the time we have stuck on track. It\'s just the way things go. You had a stressful day (I used to run a daycare, so forget about the husbands issues, that many kids is about enough to drive any sane woman crazy occasionally) and the hubs had a rough day at work (I can totally relate to that, my husband is an engineer for the US army so I know all about not being able to give particulars and the stress that goes along with it, not to mention when I\'ve planned dinners for the week then have him tell me that he\'s gotta be out of town for the next week, just blows my whole plan)after a day like that do you really think stir-fry would have made anyone feel better... I doubt it, so don\'t beat yourself up over it. No matter what dinner choice you would have made last night it still wouldn\'t have made a stressful day unstressful. I have absolutely no suggestions for you on a day like that, other than prayer works for me when things are hectic. Everyone has bad days, that\'s why we are a support system and not a perfectionist club. We are one week into this thing, and we\'ve been doing what we\'ve been doing for way longer than a week, so what\'d ya say.... Jump back up here with me, the seat right next to my hiney is cold and oh look, it has your name carved into it. See that the seat right next to me has been saved for you all this time and you didn\'t even know it. Imagine that....... and btw, I\'m sure you\'ll have to point out that fact to me someday so expect it!! :)
