I am trying to get through this, I am stuck between my mother's wishes and my responsiblities for her health.  She is angry at me in the hospital and I don't know how to handle this.  I have no other relatives to turn to for advise/support.

Donna, Its not easy have an elderly parent that requires more help than we can give. But here are a few thoughts for you:
1. What does her doctor recommend?
2. What is actually wrong with her?
3. If she stays home can she afford to have someone come in to help her when you are working or shopping?

Just a few thing to ponder on.

I just found out today that my mother has inoperatable cancer and has only a few weeks to live. Because she is 87 years old, they don\'t feel she would survive an operation or chemo and want to send her to a hospice. This has hit me like a ton of bricks.
