40 day Lenten Journey~ without a Bottle

Since Ash Wednesday..6 days ago 2010- I have been holding fast to my Lenten Vow- NOT DRINKING. The hardest was this past Saturday..which was usually a ritually filled night of drinks and friends and more drinks--- and a late dinner. I got thru it- instead with Iced tea and family Wii night with the wife(who was drinking) and my boys. It was really quite fun...playing golf and bowling---and watching my wife, act as usual- but me→ 'not so much'!
Sunday and now Monday have past with no Alcohol. Mornings seem so much better. It's a good feeling to wake up feeling clean and refeshed vs- (well YOU know) - and get off to work early.!!I've gotten more done in the past 6 days than I care to remember- and family IS noticing a new person, in ME.   Updates to follow. Tommorrow is 1 week .!

Yeah, it feels awesome to wake up sober. I hated getting up after a long night of binge drinking....filled with shame, self loathing and regret. Not to mention a terrible hangover! Now I get out of bed with a smile on my face. Amazing, Carpe Diem=)
