4 month shots

So Ava got her 4 month shots yesterday. I'll admit I was VERY stressed about it all day but she was a champ! She cried for a minute but as soon as I picked her up, she wimpered for a second but was smiling a few minutes later. I still hate seeing her hurt though! Uh breaks my heart! So glad it was short-lived. It was funny. The nurse came in to weigh her. I got her naked and set her on the scale and the nurse said "okay handsome, lets see how much you weigh." And I'm like "handsome?" Then she referenced her again as a boy and I corrected her. And she was like "OMG I'm so sorry!" and right then, Ava peed all over the scale. It was funny. Ava was showing her she was definitely a girl!

Well my baby girl is growing! She now weighs 14 lbs 6 oz and is in the 70-75th percentile in weight and is 26.5 inches and in the 90-95 percentile in height. Almost off the charts in height! Not surprising considering daddy is 6'8 and I'm 5'8! She is almost double her weight since birth! I can't believe how time is flying.

And I thought for sure she would get a fever and be fussy but I decided to give her tylenol right before her shots and luckily, she never got fussy later or got a fever. In fact, she slept through the night from 8pm til 6:30 am for the second night in a row! I mean am I dreaming or what? I just feel like this is too good to be true. I'm just waiting for something bad to happen soon because I thought she'd never sleep through the night again! She was sleeping through the night by 2 months. Then about a month ago, something happened and she stopped. She started waking up at least once, if not twice every night to eat. I just contribute it to the normalcy of raising a breastfed infant and dealt with feeling like a zombie at work. I mean I was warned by so many people. It's just what you do when you become a parent. But wow, if this sleeping through the night thing continues, I will become a whole new person! I swear!

TGIF and happy weekend to everyone!
