4 Days Post-Op, Healing

Weight: 289lbs (mom's scale)
The surgery went very well the doctor said.  He had expected it to take at least 4 hours but he did everything in 3 and it all came together easily.  I feel like I really made a good choice with Dr. Bright as my surgeon.  There were some extras along the way though.
He took out my gallbladder, which we'd anticipated.  Repaired the hiatal hernia which he said was far too extensive to leave.  He's hoped we could either leave it alone or just do a minor repair but it required a full repair.  I can see that considering I got it when I was pregnant with my 25 year old Ben!  The biggest surprise was that when he took out my gallbladder he discovered my appendix laying on my liver behind the gallbladder.  Very strange place for it to be!  So he took that out too fearing that it would scar down to the liver or if it did get inflamed it would be misdiagnosed because it is in the wrong place.
I'm fairly pain free considering all I had done.  The only real trouble spot was where he took out my gall bladder and appendix.  He said the gallbladder was hard to get out because it was chronically inflamed with large stones so he had to cut through some muscle fibers they don't usually have to to get it out.  The oxycodone made me nauseated and gave me a headache from hell so when I got to mom and dad's Wednesday I switched to Tylenol elixer and that worked fine.  Now I'm not taking anything and I really want to go home.  Mom won't hear of it I know but I really want to go home.
