4 Days Off

Whoo Hoo I have the next 4 days off from work! Good grief those people know how to work a person to death but hey at least i get a paycheck and i guess thats better than some people right now in this screwed up econemy we have. I will be attending fire academy starting this afternoon, starting with wild fire fighting essential, then tomorrow moving onto the arson investigation classes. I have been through the essentials class many times and its something we have to do every year if we intend to fight wild land fires. I'm really jacked about taking the arson investigation classes as thats something I was seriously considering doing with my dog and maybe getting away from doing live wilderness searches. My dog is more in tune to articles and cadaver and hopefully accelerants than finding live people. Besides with all the new electronic gagetry less and less people are getting lost so its getting pointless to train a dog to do live person searches. Don't get me wrong I still feel there is a need for it but on our team we have 3 certified area search dogs so they wouldn't miss my dog at all and in Idaho we only have 2 accelerant dogs in the whole state. Besides we have an over population of wolves out in the wilderness and I don't particularly want to lose my dog to a wolf. Many people have lost family pets and hunting dogs to wolvs over the past couple of years so thats a big concern of mine. Anyway hope all is well with those of you who actually read my posts, stay well and HUGS
